I was in San Antonio just last week and it was 89 one day, the next day it was 55. -___- North Texas had pretty bad tornadoes and storms too. I got caught in one thunderstorm. It was blinding rain and flooded roads. Kept diving like a boss though. Ok no, Mr. Theorist had to come rescue me. I was bicycling in the neighborhood and saw some blown apart fences and fallen tree branches. No one got hurt as far as I know around here. Houston looks really bad though. I know we have overflowing lakes right now in North Texas and we are being warned not to go there.
Likewise. Rained like crazy since yesterday evening and throughout the night. Woke up this morning to all the flood news. Hubby made it to work fine by 7:00. My work delayed opening until 10. I got there at 10:30 but part of the highway was blocked due to flooding. While driving through the feeder detour, I saw several cars completely under water in the highway.
My heart goes out to all the people whose homes got destroyed and to the ones who died.
Didn’t flood much in my neighborhood. And I made it to work on time. No high waters on the way. That said, tomorrow was supposed to be my day off work, however, I’m being forced to come in because of the damage done by the weather. Hopefully I won’t need my rain boots tomorrow.
Dallas area has been crazy pretty much all month. We haven’t had the extent of what Houston suffered, but our area lakes (one which is about 5 miles away from my neighborhood) is cresting with the parks and hold course already under…there are condos at risk of being flooded if
this doesn’t stop.
Most of the parks in my neighborhood are swamps right now lol and there have been a few road closures
Its better here in Houston. Out of the 44 streets that were underwater there are only 10 now.

6" of rain fell overnight…in a matter of a couple of hours. We lost power but it’s back now. Lots of road closures. I’ve been up since 3:00 am, couldn’t sleep at all through all that…it’s going to be a rough day
