Our policy has always been that Admins or CM’s or Moderators do not make a website; its members do. Some of you are Cafe legends. Posters like Shikra, Khumar, James Bhaand in the past and Sannan, Little Princess, IS, sarmad etc in the present have defined Cafe along with rest of you.
You use Cafe as your platform to make friends, interact with fellow users, you set your own boundaries in your interactions and Cafe being your home on GS recognises this.
After reading a thread yesterday on how some posters felt that one minor policy needed to be adjusted we thought we want to give you the opportunity to come ahead and suggest any changes to our current CAFE policies. While we stress that policies like warning for insulting behavior or vulgarity or uniform policies regarding respectful behavior across GS will stay the same; here is the first opportunity for you Cafe Members who have made Cafe what it is today to step forward and suggest any changes in CAFE-specific policies, an example would be the policy on congratulations threads.
Please state your suggested change (or a new policy) with your reasoning below and how that change will benefit Cafe. Here is a chance for YOUR Cafe to reflect YOUR boundaries.

I suggest reveiwing the "not reviving threads older than 1 year".
Reviving older threads gives the newbies opportunities to see how older cafeties were.

The negative point abt this wud be...older threads would derail and lose their charm.
In my opinion, the policy shouldnt be totally removed instead just be a little flexible.

I totally agree with that. I have no issues regarding members bumping the old threads.
Having said that, please note that I am not changing any existing policy of Cafe. Its up to Shak and his team to decide.
For me this policy has totally ruined the cafe’s beauty :cobra:
In some decades ago or 2 years back there were lot of threads which were opened and quickly cross 100 post only because of their Title and Lingu in Urdu Style. Just check that how many peoples flooded in Purely English Medium Style thread in few month:hmmm:
Cafe is meant to be enjoy and not to restrict people to speak English. No one can force other to read his thread, its only their title and easy lingu which enchant the people to come & flood easily.

PS : Your & Admin efforts must be appreciated that now they are thinking to get ideas from Guppies and Guppans.
