**Attacks Against Christians in India Continue **

Attacks on Christians in India are continuing, a Christian persecution watchdog group reported yesterday following a recent report of violence in the northwestern Indian state of Rajasthan. In the latest reported incident of violence against Indian Christians, Dr. Joseph Chavady of One to One International informed persecution watchdog Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) that the Wednesday night worship service led by one of their pastors was interrupted by a group of Hindu militants who entered the prayer hall and severely beat eight One to One workers. “Thankfully there were no permanent injuries,” VOM reported. “But the men are very shaken up by the attack.” The leading pastor of the congregation, whose name was withheld by VOM, had been preaching the Gospel and planting churches for almost thirty years in Rajasthan. Wednesday’s incident was the first time that persecution has come so close to his home, VOM reported.

In Rajasthan and in a number of states throughout India, reports of escalating violence against Christians have made their way outside the predominantly Hindu nation and into religious media agencies. According to reports, the recent wave of violence began Jan. 30, when Hindu activists forced their way into a large Christian gathering after hundreds of worshippers had come from towns and villages in India’s Uttar Pradesh state to take part in a prayer rally. The activists reportedly charged that rallies such as the prayer rally were aimed at conversions and that Christians lure the people with gifts of land, money, food and clothes. In another reported incident of violence, the body of 25-year-old Pastor Narayan was found on Feb. 11 in a small town in Mysore district, Karnataka state. Sajan K. George, national convener of the Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC), told Compass News that the official report of the autopsy suggested it was a case of suicide. However, George suspects Hindu extremists were responsible for Narayan’s death and that their sympathizers are engaged in a cover-up. Shortly afterwards, in India’s Kerala state, six theology students with Gospel for Asia (GFA) were forcibly abducted and beaten on Feb. 13 by activists of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the armed wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)—the Hindu nationalist party that has been accused of being hostile to religious minorities. On Feb. 18, GFA reported that police had arrested the five RSS men involved in the attack after a raid conducted by the Deputy Superintendent of Police. During an interview last week with AsiaNews, Bishop Percival Fernandez—Secretary General of the Catholic Bishops Conference of India—said the recent wave of violence against Christians in India is part “of a plan led by fundamentalist groups.” "Practically all of these incidents of violence against Christians are masterminded by fundamentalist groups,” Fernandez told the Italy-based news agency on Feb. 16. Meanwhile, VOM-Canada’s Glenn Penner attributed a Hindu nationalist grassroots effort for the increase in harassment—a sobering conclusion, considering the optimism born out of the elections last year.

Re: Attacks against Christians in India continue

So sad to hear that...You should be happy in a perverted sort of way that there are few kuffars left in this world to deal with.

Go shed your crocodile tears somewhere else.
I am an Indian catholic. In any society for that matter, there will be misunderstandings between the majority and the minority community. True I dont want to compare statistics with some of the neighbouring countries.
If these incidents of violence were a hallmark of the nation called India, you would have seen massive protests across the world community and in India too. There would have been a massive refugee exodus too.
It is very essential that these reports are taken with a pinch of salt.

Re: Attacks against Christians in India continue

no one’s shedding crocodile tears. it is in Pakistan’s national interest that India becomes a Christian country. This will soon become a reality as the Dalits convert en masse to Christianity. It will mean an end to cowpiss drinking and gobar eating.

Could you please explain how it is in Pakistan's national interest that India becomes a christian country. Both hindus and christians are kuffar arent they...
How soon do you think that India will become a Christian country...
Please stop smoking whatever you are.
Now come back to reality.I am an Indian christian and would never want my country to be a Christian country. I want my country where all people of every faith can practise their religion without fear. You will never understand my stand since for you people everything begins and ends with religion...

Re: Attacks against Christians in India continue

It is in our national interest. You think we give a rat’s arse about “kuffar”? In your wet dreams, dhoti. YOu’re not an Indian Christian. Anyone with a iota of intelligence can smell a DHOTI GOBAR RAT.
India will become a Christian country, slowly. The Aryan Invasion Theory has greatly helped this. Why should the Dalits of India believe in the religion of the blonde Aryan Rama? Semitism will become the major religious tradition in India (Islam, Christianity, Judaism).

You want your country to be a place where one can practise one’s religion without fear? How noble of you! But you want Pakistan to deny religious freedom so that SICKMINDED UNDIANS like you can gloat about Undia’s religious freedom? And you’re mistaken if you think that for us everything begins and ends with religion. I do not follow any religion, but I’m fanatic about undressing Bhindia’s masquerade of being a place of enlightenment.

Dont scream yourself hoarse. I dont have to prove my indentity to anybody. I am a proud Indian Christian. If you cant understand that Indian christians can be proud about their identity I pity your pea sized brain.

You have not answered my question...
Let me repeat the same for you --"How is it in Pakistan's interest that India becomes a christain country" Please dont dodge the question. Running with the tail between the legs is OK...
//But you want Pakistan to deny religious freedom so that SICKMINDED UNDIANS like you can gloat about Undia's religious freedom?//
What makes you think like that !!!

Re: Attacks against Christians in India continue

no you don’t have to prove your identity. it stinks to high heaven.

If a large segment of the Indian population becomes Christian, it will mean a further weakening of the Hindutvas and Brahmin fascists, who claim to represent Indian nationalism. These bigots are also the ones who harbour expansionistic dreams. The Dalit Christians are good for Pakistan because (i) they believe in the ARYAN INVASION THEORY (ii) they are vehemently against Indian Hindutva nationalism, (iii) they will upset the dominance of the Brahmin fascists. They will make India a modern country and get rid of superstitious customs like Suttee, Gobar-eating, Defecating in the open.

They prefer speaking English. They will make India a modern prosperous Western country. This is good for Pakistan.

It is in Pakistan’s national interest to have clean rivers. When all Indians become Christian they will stop defecating in the open. So there… national interest.

You cant accept the fact that I am an Indian Christian. Keep your stink to yourself.

//They prefer speaking English. They will make India a modern prosperous Western country. This is good for Pakistan. //
If India is not a engish speaking country now, why are all the call-center jobs being shifted to India.
Your theory makes me laugh (feel pity too!!!) We all accept the fact that Aryans came to Inda. They assimilated into the Indian culture like everybody else.

Re: Attacks against Christians in India continue

Christian-hating Hindu terrorists are getting their way in getting their laws passed.

http://www.christiantoday.com/news/south-asia/christian.persecution.in.india.continues./184.htm

*Hindu fundamentalist groups, however, have claimed that the recent string of violence is “a spontaneous reaction by local people against missioners adamant on conversion”. “Christian organisations are on a warpath—accept their religion or face the music,” the Hindu nationalist weekly Organizer quoted a Hindu leader in the state as saying. In an article titled “Proselytisers run amok”, another Hindu leader, Jagaram Samukhya, alleged that “Christian missioners in Orissa were on a conversion spree to achieve their target by hook or crook”.

Meanwhile, the BJP-led government in India’s western state of Rajasthan said last week it was going to introduce a law banning religious conversion. “We will not allow anyone to convert poor and illiterate people,” said State home minister Gulab Chand Kataria. Although state governments in India do have the power to introduce anti-conversion laws, the World Hindu Council, or Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), welcomed the state government’s move.*

Re: Attacks against Christians in India continue

don’t defecate in the open and you won’t stink.

No. “We” don’t accept that the Aryans came to India. “We” seem to be thinking they originated in India!! It should be the Aryans who are credited with developing Buddhism, Hinduism, and Indian culture generally. Above all, they brought the Sanskrit language. This is anathema to 80% Hindu Indians.

Re: Attacks against Christians in India continue

Wow!! u give so much importance to India??? Let Indians rot with all the crap…wont it be better for you to be fanatic about doing good for Pakistan instead??

Re: Attacks against Christians in India continue

^ NO the pakistanies could only sustain their existance by hating India. Without India, people will question their existance. I dont know how long such a country can survive with such negative traits. No wonder it broke into two so, fast in their existance.
They cannot believe that Hindus, christians and muslims can be friends and can live together. They get few stories out of the billion or so people and then parade it as a proof that Indians is intolerant to its minorities.
They cannot believe that there is no discrimination against minorities in daily basis in India. They also believe that it is Brahmins who controll India, in reality these people dont even have a say.

Re: Attacks against Christians in India continue

You see the problem is psychological. People of Pakistan are so far busy in finding the reasons for their existence, and are busy in finding their roots, moreover lusting for associating their roots with Arabs.
The day they stop searching the reasons for their existence and their roots…..I am sure that they will feel better.
What they lack very badly is maturity and nothing else.

But so far they are overburdened by a non-stop anti-India propaganda; I find no rescue for them in near future.

Re: Attacks against Christians in India continue

Christians seem to be the next target in the Nazi Hindu state of Gujrat, India.

http://www.christiantoday.com/news/asia-pacific/india.releases.controversial.antichristian.short.film/277.htm

**India Releases Controversial Anti-Christian Short Film **

A short film has been issued by the state government of Gujarat, a western province of India, which warns against religious change. The short film concerns a law – not yet in place - intended to make it increasingly difficult to convert to another religion. Samson Christian of the All-Indian Christian Council criticised the film as being misleading and illegal. The film comes at a time when numerous Christian groups and congregations in the country are facing massive pressure from the Indian Government to conform to the Hindu system. Both Christians and Muslims are facing increasing persecution in this region of India. The militant Hindu Narendra Modi, head of government for Gujarat wants to launch a massive investment programme to boost the Dang district infrastructure. According to German Christian news site Livenet, the programme is in partnership with radical Hindu organisation RSS, which intends to force all converts to Christianity, the majority of whom live in the Dang district, back to Hinduism.

According to Livenet, the leader of the RSS, the Rashtria Swamsevak Sangh or National Voulnteer Movemant, K.S. Sudarshan likened the threat of Christianity and conversion to Christiantiy as a threat comparable to Muslim terrorists. Sudarshan was accused the succession of western Christian popes and leaders of wanting to destroy the Hindu religion. He said: “The Hindu community must now win enough power so that they never dare to attack again.” Earlier in the month the Catholic Bishop Conference of India (CBCI) released an appeal to India’s central and state government to take action against Hindu extremists responsible for church attacks throughout June.
