sure, identify any and all potential masterminds, but that does not mean that while people are doing these investigations that the alleged pawns are allowed to freely roam about and kill innocent people.

The REAL enemy is the "elements" behind these attacks. The people who carry them out are brainwashed with rewards of Jihad or whatever but its not them that plan or organize such large scale operations. They are just a means to an end , a tool used to achieve a goal. I wouldn't be surprised the suicide bombers probably have no clue who they work for.
But to execute such synchornized attacks in several parts of the country requires much more than just a willing suicide bomber. It requires funds , training and availability of resources as well as planning .***

Bending over backwards of government started about 3 decades ago when a dictator came through back door and killed the elected PM. The successive governments strengthen that backward bend. That bend had become permanent during 9 years rule of another dictator. If some one tries to straighten it, the tragedy of 1971 will again be repeated. Do you want that?

Whatever happened or lead to the events of the past has its repercussions to this day. We have not progressed as a nation from where we were when we separated from India. Neither our educational nor our healthcare system is viable. Is not the Government responsible for this ? We have nothing to show for the 60 plus years ? Is not the Government who should have placed these systems . Look at India.....its massively progressed on each and every level ,whether its educational or healthcare or military or political...it has ADVANCED sucessively over the years.
All we do is go to war amongst ourselves and blame ethnicities and be used as puppets by politicians .
I don't have bright ideas to solve the mess that Pakistan is in right now but I do know we are to blame for bringing ourselves to this point by electing Leaders that were not held accountable for their actions.***Unless a country can show a United and Strong front to the world , it ceases to exist. The Taliban and Mullahs were first fighting the Soviets and then were funneled to fight in Afghanistan against the Northern Alliance and then against India in Kashmir.

After 9/11, the Taliban retreated to Pakistan and began using Pakistan as a sprnigboard to launch attacks on Afghanistan and then turning their guns on Pakistan.

1) No war can be won from a lower moral ground!
2) Every nation goes through these war periods. In the end great nations come out more united and stronger from the wars.
3) They can kill our innocent people but they can not break our resolve.
While I agree that we have to take this war to their pot holes instead of fighting it in our back yard, we have to show the world that we stand for higher moral values unlike these animals who are killing innocent Pakistanis...
Our security forces have taken this war to their strong hold, and in a matter of days inshallah will get these areas cleared. Our security forces are sacrificing their lives to get the mission accomplished... nation is suffering with almost ritual daily bombings but is strongly standing behind our security forces. As long as we are united although we are suffering badly for the time being we will come out victourious from this war !

no it aint a war, Wars have some rules and are fought by soldiers not barbarians.
you see this is different kind of fight a battle of wills they want to demoralize you and hurt you by hiding.
things have reached to a point where lives had to be lost so why not those should be of close ones of terrorists, make them know if they hurt ordinary civilians their owns would be hurt as well in first place before even search for him starts and i can assure you atleast 80 % of bombings would stop.

Those khawarij have funds coming from poppy trade and their supporters in Gulf petrol states. They are trained in warfare since decades. Actually, many of them were trained by our Army and ISI people themselves. They have resources and planning because they have support in various sections of Pakistani society, including PML, religious organizations and South Punjab's sectarian and anti-India outfits.
So many replies and each person has different view on this.....truly sad state of Pakistan.
My two cents, there could be some bigger hands behind this...but front line is that this is Blood for Blood, pay back. The day the news was telecast that military had taken over the head village of TTP, it was my guts feelings that this was going to be payed back in much larger scale then ever. Blood for blood is part of the culture, this can never be eliminated, but people working towards it should be raided and completely eliminated.
Imran Playboy has always been a Taliban-supporter due to majority of them being Pashtun like him.
He goes against Pakistan if he thinks it is an 'unnecessary' war. Because not eliminating these fanatics means allowing them to plan for global fasad against anyone who disagrees with them, starting from Afghanistan and Pakistan.
His solution to their crimes against Islam and Pakistani people is to stop annoying them and let them do what they want.

i'd like to add the government sold out first, the militants didn't attack pakistan when pakistan allowed its airfields to used against them in afghanistan. they didnt attack when pakistan was allowing supplies through to be used against them. they attacked later when drone attacks and pakistani military operations began against them. so its not correct to say the militants wanted to go against pakistan. from this point on the value of ordinary pakistanis has also been forgotten by the militants but to be fair no side involved values brown life
