Attack puts Pakistan tour in more doubt - Waugh

I request my Paki friends to place themselves in the shoes of the Aussies or the NewZealanders and then ask themselves whether you would want to play in a country where there has been deadly attacks on foreigners recently and where some terrorist groups have made it very clearly known that they would target foreigners.

Remember foreigners dont look at Pakistan the same way a Pakistani would do. So news-stories about Pakistan may seem like a lot of hype to a Pakistani but Foreigner players (who have families just like you and me)are justified in not taking chances. They will not visit Pakistan just because Musharaff assures their safety. No one can guarantee security especially when 15 players are pitted against suicide-bombers in open stadiums.First Musharaff should guarantee security of his own citizens.

Finally I just want to say, what Imran Khan said - "Australian fears are genuine " .
Pakis should blame their own state of affairs rather than the Aussies.

Thanks for blowing your cover brother!
Like you said to put ourselves in their position.
Eventhough I have never been in their position but our Pakistani team has.

I guess you remember 96 WC.
With Tamil Tigers in Srilanka and Pakistan was the first one to replace Australia to play in Srilanka.
Did we chicken out then?

Or how about our team recieved open public threats from hindu fundamentalist before touring India in 99.
Unlike these Aussies we stayed committed and toured India.

And like always Pakistan will stay committed and tour Zimbabwe as well.

Spock
I caught the sixer by Powell in semi finals against SL.

I was wearing my green Pakistani shirt!

This is what you call pure bravery!

I have new found respect for the people of Zimbabwe!

I dont think Pak replaced Australis in 1996 World Cup. Md. Azharuddin led an India-Pak XI to show solidarity with Sri Lankan Cricket.

That's not correct - No player was threatened. Those shiv sainiks dug the pitch and they were arrested as well. Indian PM as well as Home Minister requested Paki team to tour India and assured them of Top security. I think Australians should trust Genreal Mush's word and tour pak.

Babble all you want, quite frankly would choose to play India rather than Sri Lanka if it comes to getting an easy victory... India is a fruitcake...
