I don’t think it is sectarian to call them Yazidis at all. Sunnis have always known who Yazid was.
For example the famous lines from Muhammad Ali Jauhar, a Sunni obviously:

qatl e hussain asl mein marg e **YAZID **he
Islam zinda hota he har karbala ke baad

Or Allama Iqbal:
Musa o Firaun, Shabbir o YAZID
Inn do quwwāt az hayaat aamad padid.

Really? And I thought only Shias knew who Yazid was, thank you for presenting the two shairs otherwise I would’ve doubted you. And as ‘reminder’, this is political affairs section, for “Religious” section you can call them “Yazidis” or whatever you want, for purpose of ‘Pakistan’ or "political’ these killers are “terrorists”.
