This reminds me of the horrific garment factory fire in Karachi which claimed more than 300 lives within hours, and guess what where was Karachi's police and officers - covering Sharmila Farooqi's engagement party. Instead of playing pathetic and dirty blame games to save the political elite, for once admit that a grave mistake has been made, and someone must be held accountable.
It's very easy to text shout operations, operations, and operations in far away localities in a 140 word long tweet from your air conditioned bunkers, but what do you do when you are given a chance to prove to public that you are capable of handling operations in your own backyard? PPP has been so badly exposed. It's unbelievable. Only their dementia suffering fans can believe this party can be re-elected on the basis of it's juvenile chief adopted surname.
Btw, it's height of opportunism and partiality to blame army/ISI just because the party they support is currently and allegedly being bullied by them. How is an intelligence failure when the PPP government was warned beforehand about the possible attacks? Whose job was it to secure the high alert area and prepare an emergency response team? But you know what, maybe the writing is on the wall and Pakistan is just steps away from an army take over - keep playing the blame game, keep scoring petty political points against the military, keep holding them responsible for every disorder and soon they will be compelled to take the charge to demonstrate what 'order' looks like and how its brought.
If it takes a military takeover to prepare emergency response team and provide security to the public - then bring it on! Screw everything else.

What are agencies and rangers doing in Karachi? They only find MQM workers to kill but nobody is doing anything against Talibans in Karachi. There are several areas where rangers can't even enter because they're occupied by Taliban but no strategy to counter them. Taliban commanders freely roam everywhere so it looks like our law enforcement agencies on the requisition of NS are planning to give control of Karachi in the hands of Taliban.

Aside from taking lives of innocent Pakistanis, the militants have once again achieved their second biggest goal which was to create a frantic panic, bitter mistrust and confusion and defeatism amongst Pakistanis. Considering the current chief is no General Kiyani (who literally had ice running in his veins and a head filled with cigarette smoke) your wish might come true. The political point scoring against army may prove to be a costly hobby for some people.

it's so disgusting and so sad that, as reported by Dunya News, **the police were more busy stealing mobile phones from the victims of the attack then rescuing them. **they need to be brought to justice but before that they must all be fired from their jobs.

an eye witness on Dunya News is describing how police [as high as sub inspector in rank] were pocketing mobiles and were busy looking for more mobiles.
Dunya News reporter, Kiran Khan, is also reporting that the police was involved in stealing victims' belongings.
