Sadly when we bring up Musharraf and what he did wrong as a leader, Lal Masjid comes up as a sore point for so many pakistanis. They actually believe that no one should have gone after Lal Masjid. It’s incredible. I get these places are called “masjids”, but you know I could put a fake santa clause costume on and call myself Santa, but I ain’t no Santa.
These places are not true masjids. And their imams are not true muslims. People who incite muslims to kill and overthow the Pakistani government aren’t even muslims to begin with.
There are in fact, rumors, that some of the “wise old men” bearded “mullahs” sitting in the FATA area dating back to the time of the Soviet Cold War are actually foreigners, and some of them are flat out CIA or Mossad agents, pretending to be muslims, inciting locals to go fight someone else’s war for them. Rumors have been floating around of some of these madrassah leaders who do their 6 month tours in Pakistan, as actually agents from abroad, who aren’t even muslim.
