what kind of excuse is that, its not only people with familys abroad who have converted mud houses to brick, otherwise half of pakistan will be living abroad so be abit relistic, its all due to increase wealth of everyone due to increase in salerys and business oppertunitys made for the people.
Well, I dont know anyone whos converted their house into brick unless they have relatives someplace outside...
What jobs are available to villagers besides agriculture? And we all know agriculture hasnt grown as fast as it should...
The fact that half of Pakistan isnt living abroad is the reason why more people dont have brick houses... Because they cant afford it.
By the way, we had electricity in my village way back in 1983... But then we also have many people in the army so that helped.
