Thats probably because you only choose to read/hear what suits your anti-India idelology. Do you know how many MPs/MLAs in India are from the Dalit/backward classes ? What about the 20-40% reservations in different govt. colleges/jobs ? Did you know that K.R.Narayanan (ex-president of India) was from the backward class ?** There is a multitude of such cases**.

There may be a multitude of such cases, however, the multitude of such cases is statistically insignificant compared to its opposite.
