QANA, Lebanon - Israeli missiles hit several buildings in a southern Lebanon village as people slept Sunday, killing at least 56, most of them children, in the deadliest attack in 19 days of fighting.

That's very sad. Israel's excuse that these people were notified to vacate their homes is not valid. People don't always have the resources and means to vacate their homes during times of peace, let alone in a war zone. Besides, they shouldn't have had to leave their homes. Just because HezboAllah operates from nearby areas doesn't give Israel the license to level the entire area.
I hope this killing stops soon. Most of the people who lost lives in this latest incident were little children. This is outrageous.

israel even bombed convoys of reugees when they try to leave. SO this excuse of "we told em so" is pure BS.

Investigation is coming out that there was a time difference between the apartment building collapsing and the bombs hitting the area. The theory is that there might have been some materials inside the building that set off another explosion. I don't know whether to believe that, but if that's true then shame on Hezbollah for using their people as bait and shields and political levy material. But then its hard to know whether that's what really happened, since the investigations are not really being done by an objective third-party.
Nonetheless, it is PITIFUL that children are dying on both sides.

Israeli children are dying? I thought 30 lebanese children died yesterday and ~700 total civilians including more children in lebanon, also power plants, hospitals, water plants destroyed that will lead to untold more deaths.
Out of the handful of isreali civilians killed a good proprtion were israeli arabs, the rest soldeirs. Where is the balance that you seem to portray in your statement?
This is not about two sides fighting a war, but about a military superpower carrying out genocide on a civilian population.

The genocide would really not be happening if soldiers were not kidnapped. I hate to say it as a Muslim, but innocent muslims are paying the price for some unthought-out actions.
And suit me for thinking that the life of an innocent israeli is just as precious as the life of an innocent lebanese. I don't care what their religion is. No one asked for this war except political leaders who want a power trip.
