KARACHI: At least seven people were killed in incidents of targeted killing in various areas of Karachi late on Tuesday, DawnNews reported. Eleven people died in Karachi during the past 24 hours due to targeted killings.
Three men died when unknown gunmen opened fire on a car in the city’s Gulistan-i-Jauhar area.
Meanwhile, three men were killed in three different incidents of targeted killing in the city’s Shamsi society, Rafa-i-Aam society and Jamia Millia areas.
Another man was targeted by unknown assailants in Orangi Town. — DawnNews

its more barbaric for these urbanites to be acting like this, then for tribal villagers who are under immense military pressure to submit contrary to their religious beliefs

when mainstream parties connected to governments employ war tactics, the government uses war and pardons acts of war from its coalition patners, what hope is there for a peaceful pakistan?

The toll has reacged 19 and such is the courage of our media that no one dares even to report who attacked whom. They will just say worker of a political party or of a religious party etc.
Shows how easy it is to criticise Zardari but how difficult to say anything about the badmash at street corner.

^^ if you are talking about jang/geo or some other "large" media outlets, then yes they will not tell who killed whom, they will only be quick in reporting "mqm kay quaid altaf hussain nay _____ ki shadid alfaz main muzammat ki" and this "muzzammat bayan" comes out within 1-2 hours whenever some sad event happens no matter what time of the day (in london and pakistan) seems like altaf bhai is a robot sitting all the time in front of geo issuing statements of muzzammat, or may be geo is working as his spokes man....
try reading 2morows "ummat" and you will see "most" of the details of who killed whom along with their background and then keep a count of how many were killed by mqm, and what these TV channels reported. plus, note that they will give more than enough coverage when mqm issues a statement like "mqm kay hamdard ko nishana banaya gya" and even they will telecast most of those ghoonghaa sounds which come out of telephon...

This kind of war is fought between underworld gangs for control of an area for extortion etc.......but what do you mean when political parties are trying to control the city???

we already discuss it too many time here, well, A land Mafia, Transport Mafia, MQM Mafia, JI Mafia, ANP Mafia they never missed a chance to kill each other some time its come up in news as political target killing and some time religious target killing but what is all is about gaining some kind of power and terrorize each other, some time normal peoples come under friendly firing but almost targeted once. what I can guess these days a lot of Mohajirs migrated from northen areas in Karachi and ANP get some strong hold in some little wards AND they are also fully loaded with all types of ameos… problems with Haqiqi and Mohtehda also burn up city usualy which shows the hand of Establishment
