So I am going to Atlanta this weekend. Its basically to take my mom to my uncle since she hasn’t visited him in a long time. I would be there for 2-3 days. I don’t like relatives so I would try to spend as less time as I could at home. Do you guys know any nice places to visit in Atlanta alone? I don’t travel alone, usually with friends, siblings, etc but I am in no mood to take my uncle’s kids with me. Is it awkward to travel alone? Also any nice halal restaurant there which I must try
I hear there are lots of nice halal restaurants in the Gwinnett county Duluth area. We are going there too in the coming Winter vacations. Besides restaurants there is the Coca Cola factory and the Atlanta Aquarium.
there's a really good halal bbq place called Shuja's. i think its on yelp/zabihah. i can't recall the exact location, but it was cheap and good and authentic southern bbq :).
also, check out coca cola, Olympic park and mnm world. all are close by.
I've been to Atlanta numerous times and I love it. I love love love the aquarium. Its indoor, perfect for cold weather visit. I've been there so many times but I still wouldn't miss an opportunity to go there. Other than that Coca Cola, olympics park are the two main attractions.
For desi food, I personally like Sabri and Karachi Broast and of course Aga Juice. My go to places. There are many other restaurants, zabihah.com should help
You can do the aquarium one day, if you take your time you can maybe spend 5-6 hours there. On second day you can try the world of coca cola ( about 2-3 hours ) and cnn center ( about 1 hour, they have tours at fixed times, so you might want to check it first ). The olympic park is in the same location so in the evening maybe you can stop by and watch the musical fountain for a bit. There is also stone mountain park, which this time of the year is decorated and lit up.
For halal restaurants, karachi broast ( two locations ) is good for broast and burgers. Don't like their pizza though. Sabri is good. Mughal's is good too, a bit more authentic. Royal Bamboo has chinese, heard it is good, but did not try it personally.
Public transportation is not all that good. You will need a car to drive around. You probably already knew that.
