Yet another blockbuster album of Atif Aslam, titled ‘Hangami Hallaat’, jointly composed and penned by the young singer himself and his brother Muhammad Shahbaz, is set to be launched in the next couple of months. The album consists of 9 songs, out of which work on some videos, picturised on model Meesha and Atif, has been completed. Atif also revealed that the album would thrill his fans and there was not even a single number that he thought was more melodious than the other.
“You can say that the album will be a gem,” he declared, adding that it was very difficult for him to compare his albums both of which, he said, he had composed “with all my heart”. Pinning high hopes on his videos, Atif said that his new album would be different from the previous one due to its “unique videos” and would represent the feelings of a larger audience.
Emphasising the importance of videos he said, “Strings’ last song, ‘Dhani’ became popular basically because of its video.” About his Indian projects, Atif said that he was carrying on with them successfully. On being awarded by an Indian channel he said that it was a great achievement but he would not stop here.*
(last i heard, JAL was the one who got an award not atif aslam…and that being from sahara awards - sami)*
Advising his counterparts in Pakistan not to blindly follow singers from across the border, Atif said that there were some problems with their (Indian) lyrics. Atif also said that he had got offers of acting in Bollywood but he wanted to focus on his passion which is music.
About his feud with Jal, he said that differences were still there, refuting the claim earlier made by the group that a settlement had been reached with the intervention of singer Najam Sheraz.
He also accused Jal of hypocrisy and double standards. It is worth mentioning here that in an interview aired on a private TV channel, Farhan had claimed that he had named Jal after “water”.
Making fun of his claim, Atif said that although Farhan’s voice was melodious everybody knew that he had joined the band after he (Atif) left. It may also be mentioned here that the title song of Atif’s album, ‘Aadat’ has been selected for a Hollywood flick titled ‘Man Push Cart’, which is another achievement, he maintained.
We will keep you updated on his new album once we find out more details!
