has resung wo lamhay for the hindi flick zeher. aaroh didnt recieve much stardom last year when they did rakht’s soundtrack. lets see if atif strikes some pot of gold across the border. goher’s really jealous by now. ![]()
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
whats there to be jealouse about dude?
I respect Atif Aslam as a musician but Pak music industry has no comparision with the Indian music. Indian music lacks the classical depth, lyrics are sub-standard and repetitive, almost every song is a churba of another oldie, and the list goes on.
I would be proud of Atif if he survives in Pakistani industry for 4/5 years and not if he goes and sings something for some indian film. Where would singing in indian movies take him? may be couple of months of stardom and a bad haircut (Faisal Kapadia?!?)
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
I don't mind him giving song to a hindian flick. What I am afraid of is a najam shiraz like situation. He got no credit for "menu tere naal" that they blatantly copied in murder. Indian singers get famous off of paki singers while we can do nothing but watch on helplessly.
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
or we can make a vdo of the song and put their movies scenes in it ![]()
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
yeah that works too. They didn’t even ask najam before using his song so he got pissed off and used their movie. ![]()
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
it would be better if he had sung the song in urdu.. the exact same version.. and used the vdo.. that would have made it all ok i think :D
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
dude do u even noe even noe who goher is? Indian music lacks the classical depth?? ur telling me that people frm the likes of ravi shankar, zakir hussain, & ustad amjad ali hussain are just crap?
its romantic songs they’re singing. they’re meant to sound repetitive. wht exactly were u expecting?
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
The Bhatt Family give a big helping hand in promoting pakistani artists through their movies, e.g. Junoon, Najam, Meera etc.
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
More like the converse. The stuff Najam and other Pak singers sang for the trashy Bhatt movies turned them into huge hits. This “thing” you have for a movie called Murder is a point in case. And then that soundtrack including that Kaho na Kaho numberwas practically done in totality by Pakistanis for which some trash Indian music director was given the credit for! But then it won so much explain, indies gotta figure what actually happened ![]()
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
yaar, if anybody considers indian filmi music classical then Paki music can blow that ‘classical’ indian music out of its back any day.
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
dude i wus referring to the classical music maestros and not the usual run-of-the-mill hindi film music crap.
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
Xcuse me, how do u know hindi music is crap, well u listen to it right?
if it is crap, why do u even bother to listen to it then?
Double standard people.Dont post anything, just for the sake of posting
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
Youre right, but no one heres gonna understand what you mean, unless you bash them.
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
That beatiful song better be shot decently... that is all I ask.
And about him going off to bollywood...I really don't care what happens to him. If he gets famous and acknowledged-good for him if he doesn't too bad because it will be due to his own choice.
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
although he has sung 1 song for the upcoming film zehar *ring emraan hashmi and shamita shetty. he is credited with 2 to his name, woh lamhey woh baatein has also been remixed. aik teer sai du shikaar.
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
this is such a old news :)
Re: atif aslam goes to bollywood
wow!... :) that's nice..
Atif Song "woh lamhey" (Zehar)
Atif song in upcoming Hindi movie "Zehar" ...
Side A has four soundtracks that are heavily fed on sentimental theme and meaningful lyrics.
The soft sentimental pop track "Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein" by new talent Atif marks its presence with promising notes. The track can be identified with "Duur" ('Strings') and "Aksar" ('Shaan') in terms of vocal and musical contents and ingredients. After "Garaj Baras" (Pakistan Pop Band 'Junoon') from 'Paap' this seems to be another step in musical experimentation in films. Atif's voice impresses as it coagulates well with instrumental rendition, making it thoughtful and melodious. Composers-- Mithun Sharma and Naresh Sharma-- have recreated music very well. Lyrics show vivid colors of love that are cohesive with the changing seasons. A fine teamwork!
