An objective reader of this post and the link would not conclude the Saudi who became disillusioned with corrupt religious leaders simply doing the government’s bidding are the ones who are stupid. But they would have a different view of those calling these atheists stupid.
As for those who say this is just one or two cases and is simply topi drama, do you understand the concept of percentages? 5 pct are athiests. Average in other nations is 13 pct. So the pct of Saudi who are athiests is 40 pct of that of other nations. If that is not an explosion, you don’t understand simple arithmetic.
add to that being an atheist and expressing it is a capital offense..you think there would be some who will be too afraid to call themselves athiests?
Why does common sense take a back seat in such discussions?
