At what age did most of you go to university? ( If you ever went)

normal age to go to uni is 18.

It depends on how you define university. Post O/Levels or A/Levels? I know there are people here who were in University programs before 16.

Will not recommend it, being 3 years younger than and avg student is tough, you may be able to pass the exams but the social skills, maturity etc is not the same. I did not feel comfortable until I transferred over to and came to US at 17, then it seemed fun and manageable,
Fraudz, were you some kind of child genius? Most 16 year olds have only just done their GCSE's.
shahreen no, I started school at an early age and then my teahcers thought I warranted a double promotion. It kinda sucked because ll my pals were a year behind me.
I would not recommend it and given the choice would not make the same decision if i was in my parent's shoes. Even they think now that they should not have done it.
It was very challenging. imagine going from top of the class by a huge margin and top of everythign else, sports activities, to a "good" student..I went from being A+ to A, B level..and i had to struggle.
I was very tall for my age so unless told ppl did nto know that I was 3 years younger than everyone else..
my parents finally realized this when i was in high school, by that time I had started getting used to it and was very comfortable by the time i was in uni.
I see. Actually similar thing happened to me in that I skipped a year in secondary school but then later had a year off with glandular fever so ended up back with my old class anyway.
i started uni really young, a week after i just turned 17...
took my O levels [11th grade] at the age of 14
took A levels [13th] at 16
i was always 2 yrs younger than everyone in my class...coz my siblings and i never did preschool...our parents prepared us at home n v just started schooling straight from primary school, second grade in my case...
Well...I started college at 17

hmm i was 18 :) generally thats the age range for an undergrad...
I began while still in high school here in the states at age 16 - part time high school, part time University. Am finishing BA in December and have begun application process to grad school.
