an off topic thought but worth sharing ..
this thread shows one thing that kids get excited even about hardship, when they see the elders and parents doing it with happy and exciting attitude. The Ibadaat does not become a burden on kids because they see our enthusiasm about it. That is such a great way of introducing kids to the prayers and obligations of our our religion by doing it with 'Ehtemaam' and making a big deal out of them (in positive way), be it Salaat, Fasting or Zakat.
My niece who s 14 announced to her family yesterday that she is going to do hijaab from now on. No one asked her let alone forced her but she has seen her mom and older sister doing that and concluded that this the right thing for her to do.
Point is, we can influence our kids mind so easily, so we better be doing the right things so they can become good humans and good Muslims. Or they can easily learn dance, songs and stupidities from us also by observing us. Choice is ours.
mashallah.
