AT&T sells 4.7 million iPhones and 1.4 million smartphones to make a $3.6 billion pro

In the last three months, it’s managed to ship 6.1 million smartphones, of which 4.1 million were iPhones, which helped the company to maintain a turnover of $31.5 billion, just $0.1 billion below the previous quarter.
Notably, the operator saw its net profit tumble from $3.6 billion, down from $6.8 billion in Q2, but that’s easily explained away with a $3.8 billion share buyback scheme and LTE investment. It’s also managed to squirrel away $6.5 billion in cash under the mattress for a rainy day.
