Exactly, when camels and horses are being treated better than people you know something is seriously wrong.

I think you're the one missing the point. No-one is saying that cheap labour isn't good for business we're just questioning the moral aspect of it. Just because you can get things done faster and at a lower cost doesn't mean it's the right way to do it. Listen, foreign workers are lured to Dubai with promises of earning a heck of a lot more than what they're earning in their home countries and because their situation is so desperate they go there. In reality Dubai is much worse...their passports are taken off them, they don't earn nearly as much as they were promised. They live in crowded slums in the middle of a desert, shunned away from the sparkly shopping malls and the five star hotels. You said no contruction company can afford expensive labour. Who said anything about expensive labour? There's a happy middle ground between expensive labour and slavery. You're trying to tell me businesses would go bust if they just paid their workers a decent salary and provided them with suitable accomodation? We're talking about people here not machines...they deserve a better quality of life.

Re: At least we are Dubai..

When you haven’t seen the videos nor read the articles posted nor read the previous thread that I posted the link to aagay se phool to nahi dain gey na.

Basically you’re saying:

The Arabs are right in when they say: ‘We’ll abuse you, treat you like cr*p, take away your liberties, make sure you live like animals but hey who cares we’re paying you more’

Remind me to tell this to any future employee I hire…oh all in the name of ‘cheap labour’ ofcourse
