India is not ready for running fast trains. Revisit train safety and speeds of trains. Something is basically wrong. Should enquire thoroughly what is missing in running the fast trains? Signaling, track, people’s attitude, etc…Till such time speed should be reduced to avoid such colossal disasters.

Civilized Indians???Pakistan Railway should learn lesson from this disaster before moving towards running fast trains.
In the face of mass corruption, nepotism etc the countries cannot take those technological strides. Indias GDP per capita is lower than many African countries
Odisha India rail accident is perhaps the worst rail accident in subcontinent in the at least two centuries. The sequence of events suggest that sabotage can not be over ruled. I assume at least standard III interlocking signaling system with track circuiting by default any malfunctioning happens at the station, the outer signals turn red. If this has not happened than someone can manually screwed up the system to cause such colossal damage particularly in face of trains running at speed of 130-140 mph.

As I predicted the accident took place due to fu$Ckup of track and signaling people. A complete audit is done on the system before allowing high speed trains on the track.
