better now?
Re: At last a fatwa I like!
agree with some points but not the key reason being cited i.e. working late is an indication of following Jewish practices. Why not give us the benefit of the doubt that we might be doing this out of our own volition.
That being said, I do agree that if it is done solely with the intention of greater financial benefits, that shouldn't drive your routine and you need to be cognizant of your other duties towards your family, towards humanity etc.
Re: At last a fatwa I like!
aap ki bat kisi had tak to thik he but ye bhi zehan me rakhiye ke rizq e halal kamana bhi ain ibadat he agar hamari deeni zimadari late sitting se effect nai ho rai to meri nazar me late sitting me koi problem nai q hamary ghar walo ki zimedari b to hamari he

You know jews always give 20% of their earning for the 3rd world counties ..... I"m not agree with this view ....... Although Alhamdulillah I"m a muslim but asking you one question that if sum one not offering Namaz but giving full time to her wife or family members then is it right with him .........
How about Tablighi Jamat peoples who spent 4 months in tableegh away from their families (Are they also wrong) .......
Yah seedhi seedhi intaha pasandi hay aab yahodeon ka libbas aur jo cheeczain unhoon nay banai hain woh bhi use karna chore dain kia .........
Ufff hamaarey ullamaah hazraat bhi hadd kar dete hain...
I've learnt to take their fatwas with a pinch of salt if they don't have Qurani-Aayat or Ahadees to back them up.
I've also got a fatwa for the Maulana Sahib... Free halwa and esaal-e-sawaab money on the teesra, saatvan and *chaleeswen *after somebody's death is not allowed.
Some of us have to work to earn a living you know, we don't get it handed to us on a plate by our mureeds.
Earning a halaal living through hardwork and honest means is ibaadat (worship).
Our beloved Prophet PBUH taught us to live by sweat of the brow.
If someone is carrying out his hukook-Allah (e.g. taking breaks for Salaah) and hukook-ul-Ibaad (taking time out to do the shopping for the Mrs, hiring a servant to help her with the housework when he cant help her himself etc.) then what's wrong with working late?
Ok it might not be ideal to work late and it might be unhealthy but we don't live in an ideal world...
This Molvi is being shortsighted, it's okay for him to mindlessly issue fatwas from the comfort of his persian-rug...
...But what about the people who are trying to fulfill the hukook (rights) of their families by earning a halaal living for them? What about the people who work during the day and can only go shopping late at night, where would they go if the shops all closed early?

Agreed.
Pata nahi yeh molvi hazraat har baat mein bichaarey yahoodiyon ko kiyun ghaseet laatey hain! No wonder everyone thinks we're a bunch of muppets. Political ikhtilafaat is fine but.. arghhh...
Allah doesn't say that be different from Ahle-Kitaab aur Ghair-Mazhab's in every single thing, no rather just the things in which they have gone against the Laws of God and the nature (fitrat) He has created us upon.
We're not allowed to immitate them in religious matters but in secular matters such as using computers, wearing a tie, working a 9-5 shift etc. is fine... Man molvis make me laugh. :D
I've had some muppets say we're not allowed to wear ties and to take mine off at a friends wedding because "they are a sign of the crucifix" when in actual fact they are just a modern version of the cravat, a secular non-religious piece of clothing...
Some Ullamah have too much free time on their hands.. Instead of tackling real issues they conjoure up and talk hogwash more than half the time...
PS. Not all ullamah are bad, there are some good ones too who talk sense and like Islam asks them take a stance against social ills such as racism, caste-system, oppression of women (like the Imam who helped the gang rape victim Mukhtaran Mai)..
