Recently the astronomers denied the existence of Pluto as a planet.
Now my question is directed towards Hindus, who study the planetary movements for fortune telling, this is also known as Vedic Astrology.
Wanna ask a couple of questions
How does this advancement validate or invalidate, Vedic Astrology
Provide to me proofs from the Sacred scriptures, if the planet PLUTO does exist.
No offence meant, as i afore mentioned just a thought.
i am not an expert on astrology. Vedic astrology never went beyond saturn ,that is shani. As far as i know, no mention of uranus, neptune and pluto. surya, chandra, mangala, budha, guru, shukra, shani, rahu and ketu. Rahu and ketu are just considered as invisible planets or infact deities
I dont know why pluto is not being considered as a planet but it still revolves around the sun. astrology speaks of grahas. meaning of grahas need not have to be just planets, they could just be celestial bodies (as far as i know).
The prime minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee, invited Ganesha devotee Bejan Daruwalla, on July 16,2000, to predict his and India’s future, surely a feather in the cap of astrology!
Ganesha Bejan Daruwalla can never be wrong! Here’s what he had to say about Amitabh as early as November15, 1999 in the outlook magazine. Good news for suave Amitabh… From June 2000, his period of joy starts and 2001, itself is going to be proverbial cornucopia of plenty.
Further my question and USR questions are unanswered
Do we find, the grahas or planets stated in Sacred Scriptures. That would be a valid point to make.
“If we talk of Vedic astrology we exclude planets like Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.Sometimes, for decades and further these planets are very far away from earth. Therefore, their influences can hardly be considered.”
can google else where also. But whatever, whether pluto has any influence on astrology or not, it was considered as a planet or celestial body.
But ofcourse, astrology is as old as vedas themselves and it is found in Brihat parashara hota shastra. Brihat parashara was a sage credited for vedic astrology. In his shastra you will find of these planets (chapter 12 verse 5-7). I also came across about this just now. I am not sure about in other scriptures. Also, astrology is considered as one of the limbs of vedas (vedanga).
^ I feel the astrologers, differ with the planets.
They are few who believe pluto is included in Vedic astrology, and is considered as said by Bejan Daruwala.
Since he is a famous astrologer and follower of Lord Ganesha, we cant deny his statements also that pluto helps in detecting underground activities like terrorism, violence, and finally formation of a new society.
I read the verses, and thanks for this information regarding the verses in the Vedas and Importance of Vedic Astrology.
