My 4 years old has asthma like conditon. She was in the. Hospital for 3 days. She has been prescribed 4 different. I feel she gets very hyper since she started medicine. There are side effects.
Anyone with Asthma like condition. Home remedies etc?

1 is antibiotic
2 is for lung i cant remeber the name, but taken by mouth
2 are use with the machine. Albuterol, and colmotric somthing like that.

There's research that shows a connection between asthma and vitamin D deficiency. It might be worth trying multivitamins. I doubt it's a cure.

albuterol can make some folks a little jittery. maybe one of the docs on the forum can chime in..

Albuterol can make some people hyperactive and sometimes results in tremors. Usually the side effects are increased if most of the medication is being swallowed rather than inhaled. That's usually for people using an inhaler, so some doctors will recommend spacers to be used alongside inhalers to compensate that.
Sorry don't know about any home remedies.
Edit: Okay so I just read that you are saying she is using a machine, I'm assuming a nebulizer? So the whole 'swallowing medication' thing really shouldn't be a problem. Either way, I feel like albuterol is most likely the cause of her hyperactivity. If you feel like its really excessive you should talk to her doctor.
Hopefully someone with experience can come in and help you.

^swallowing med is not a problem as its for 5-7 days.

I have had asthma all my life. It is not at the stage that your daughther is, but I pray for her to get better soon.
My doctor has presrcibed me a medicine called "Singulair" It is for people with asthma. I have to take one tablet every night for as long as I feel I have gotten better.
They are sold at pharmacy's for about $100 for "a" box.
