(Flyer Updated on June 29, 2003: For latest info, visit us at: www.apsena-usa.org)

State University of New York at Albany
Albany, N.Y.
SATURDAY Aug 23, 2003

The fact that Pakistan needs all the help it can get is no new news. And the fact that we all have a burning desire to do our part in the development of Pakistan is nothing new either. Some of us don’t really know how and other have tried and got disheartened.

This conference will not offer magical solutions nor will it bring about a revolution. But it will present and discuss practical ideas and plans for mutual benefit ? help Pakistan develop while advancing your career and/ or business, whether it is in science, engineering, technology, or industry

The conference will feature presentations by notable scientists on topics applicable to Pakistan including one on launching an academic collaboration between the SUNY system and the universities in Pakistan; by the Department of Commerce officials on the improving trade relations between Pakistan and the U.S. and the resulting opportunities; by real life success on outsourcing engineering/drafting services in Pakistan and associated issues/solutions with setting up businesses in Pakistan; by competent attorneys on immigration matters facing professional; by the WTC Organization on accessing valuable professional business related data; etc; etc.

apsena’s annual conferences are a sacred tradition and have been a great source of valuable, beneficial, and practical information; a great forum for networking; a collective way for establishing path forward strategies; and an opportunity for catching up with old frien ds and having a little bit of fun.

Some spectacular Pakistani successes, in science, engineering and business, will participate in the conference. If you would like to make a presentation, please send an email to [email protected]

I would have loved to go, but Im too far away... Its a great effort though!

I am gonna try and be there Umar. Let me know if you go.

spock

it may mean one day off from work or classes and drive, or bail from work early and fly. I am thinking about it myself.

But it could be a great place for you and Ali to network, get some other guys together and make a roadtrip out of it.

People from a couple of other Pakistani groups may also be there Frauds such as the VTTP one.

hi fraudz, you are right, but NY is a little too far away, besides, my ammi is also here so I doubt if I can even think of going.

These guys should also discuss the possibility of having an online forum of Pakistani engineers in North America, where ppl such as myself, who cannot travel can meet and discuss various issues involved with engineering jobs, and the common problems they run into while being here.
