A letter from one our fellows:
"ADP is a venture philanthropic organization that supports NGOs in Pakistan by funding specific development proposals with typical disbursements of less than $10K. Please visit ADP’s website (Develop Pakistan) and feel free to reach out to Ahmad Sheikh ([email protected]) in case you have any additional questions or would like to get involved.
As part of its various initiatives ADP is hosting a cricket tournament on May 1st at St. Vartan Park on 35th Street and 1st Avenue (please see the flyer attached). If you are in the New York metro area and would like to participate, please contact Arif Sheikh ([email protected]) or myself ([email protected]) for further details.
The spots for teams and individual participation will be allocated on a first come basis, so please let us know immediately. If we have enough interest we can even put together a Muppies team for this tournament. ADP will provide all the necessary equipment for the tournament. Even if you do not play cricket, do come out and cheer on your friends, learn a new sport, meet new people, and enjoy some delicious food while supporting a great cause.
All the proceeds from the cricket tournament and food sales will be used to fund various on-going ADP projects such as funding for ICU equipment at a Children’s Cancer Hospital in Karachi. This is a very deserving project benefiting children with cancer. Please consider making a contribution, however small, and do pass on to others who might be interested.
