I agree as long as he is not involved in political arena. Since you have brought faith here, what is the definition or characteristics of Imam who lead the people of a nation? Do you have any idea? If not read the Holy Qur’an.

Hes a politician in the public eye so his personal life is also in question.

I agree with that, however, his acts of ‘sin’ were when he was not a politician.
