Allah(swt) wipes out entire cities by natural disasters at times as punishment ...why should we be surprised if his Prophet(pbuh) assasinates someone?

I can clearly see this line of thought going even further until it reaches the follower. So now its sound like Hey Allah did it. Messenger did it. and now I am allowed to do it. afterall we have follow both of them isn't it.
And believe me I was not surprised at all, it just sounded strange.

^ Yeah, I think I agree with your statement there. Gotta watch what you say. Islam is not about killing people who don't agree with you. Its not like "Oh, you want to oppose my leadership? Fine, you die." I think there were probably way more factors involved.

I have to be honest. This is the first time I'm hearing about any such "assasinations" as ordered by the Prophet. I thought he basically ordered death in situations of outright war or as death punishment as perscribed by revelation (i.e. execution of a proven murderer, etc).
