Assalam-o-Alaikum Friends,

Assalam-o-Alaikum Friends,

Being a member of GS I’m participating this section more then 6 months. You all are sharing such a nice poetry here but now I’m feeling there is some need of improvement.

[ol]
[li]First of all members’ post many threads in one day so others members thread skip to other page. More than one thread by any members lost its importance.
[/li][/ol]
[li]Every member posts his own thread and avoids commenting on other threads which has decreased the interest of members here.
[/li]
I think there must be some rules to avoid such situation.

[ol]
[li]Every member allowed posting one/two thread in one day rather then to post 5 or 6 threads. If some one post more than one thread in one day, MOD should merge all the threads posted in one day in one thread and consul the member thru PM.
[/li][/ol]
[li]May be many persons will not be agree with it but I’m sure seniors will be feeling this problem. But MOD should play their role here and rather then to make sticky his own threads try to encourage others.
[/li]
I’m once again saying that if you want other to comment on your threads then do comment on other threads as well.

MODs should prepare sticky threads by amending more instructions to guide new comers.

PS : Feel free to comment on this thread**

Re: Assalam-o-Alaikum Friends,

I would respectfully disagree with you on this point. Except for a few scatered instances, I haven’t witnessed flooding in Poetry forum to a disturbing degree.

Sannan you are absolutely right here. It is a concern that is shared equally by everyone here. Most of the members do not bother to compose a few words to encourage others. But the problem is that we cannot force anyone on it. I understand that the urge to encourage others should come from heart and not from rules. I have said it on numerous occasions that not encouraging and appreciating a good piece of poetry is a gross injustice to the writer as well as to the poster. It’s a cultural ingredient which is missing here. Anyway, if you have any idea to better this situation, I am more than open to receive it

I agree. But let me tell you that mods are also members just like you. We try to implement different ideas for which we need to make some threads sticky. You might have seen there aren’t many. But I would also concede that there were a few threads by members that should have been sticked, but we didn’t act on that — I am sorry about it and assure you that your point has been noted

I think this is the only workable solution. It’s time to lead by example  Thanx for this thread Sannan and all your complaints and suggestions.
