Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?
^ Exactly. I believe Saudi arabia is the root of all this fitnah, be it pakistani madressahs, taliban, egyptian salafis, lebanon, syrian and iraqi alqaeda, israel/palestine, Oppression in bahrain, kuwait, qatar etc... They fan the flames in every country; I cannot wait to see their downfall.
Re: Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?
^but your sentiments predate 'saudi' so as far as your sentiments are concerned just their downfall will not solve the problem
for example the sufis ofthe subcontinent were once in a court, when other party said it is our religion to do such and such, so the sufis said then our religion is jihad
so the short term solution is for one party who believes in it to remain in taqiyah, rather then the coming out like the iranian revolution is trying to push. is that acceptable to you for decrease in fitnah?
Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?
What? these things are happening now..as we speak!
No, but getting rid of the head of the snake... Is a good start. ;-)
Re: Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?
whats the very end of the tail?
see your looking at the whole of the 'snake' as you see it, at the end will it be me against you? of course it will
this general ambition of yours, and its prospective range is clear to see
so is your ambition the problem or is it saudi? i think its your ambition to be honest
Re: Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?
^ who do you think is benefiting from all this sectarianism?
Re: Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?
the big winner is the iranian revolution and its influence
Re: Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?
^ its not only iran, its the conflict of iran and saudia for influence and the wider muslim world is the theater...

Really? And why will you be at the end of the tail?
The point about the snake is that once head is gone the rest is harmless. So no need to worry about about the tail.
Re: Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?

the saudis have, the iranis want
in this equation the fitnah is coming from iran because they need to overturn the saudis
any disagreements with this statement, Ali?

thats your desire to oppress!
Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?
U mean take over saudis role? Nah we're better than that! We have standards you know.
But even if we did, they wouldnt have a right to complain after what they've been responsible for. Nor would you for that matter.

what about these sufis? "..sufis ofthe subcontinent were once in a court, when other party said it is our religion to do such and such, so the sufis said then our religion is jihad"
would these sufis have a right to complain?
Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?
What have sufis got to do with the price of fish?
Re: Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?

The leaders of the sects gain alot, their power increases and so does their stature.
Re: Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?
How about we come back to the topic of this thread?
Syria was one of the countries on Bush's Axis of Evil list (Iraq, Iran, Libya, Cuba, North Korea, Pakistan?).
Secretary Clinton, in NATO headquarters in Brussels, said the Assad government was “increasingly desperate” and on the verge of collapse. The 21-month civil war has cost 40,000 lives already.
I think she meant to say that NATO is getting increasingly desperate and on the verge of intervention because its been 21 months and Assad govt. hasnt fallen.
U.S. officials had long believed that the Syrian government was stockpiling the banned chemical weapons before it acknowledged possessing them this summer.
Yes of course they knew all along. Now that infiltrating Al-CIAda rebels into Syria didnt bring about an expected revolution, things have become desperate. They will come up with "phony" dossier on chemical weapons. History is repeating itself.
Re: Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?

i cant say i can reciprocate this sentiment of yours
if i can suggest something please look at the sources of the sentiments you are expressing, i think you'll find you have no religious obligation to be anti saudi, anti arab, or anti sunni in general. after your recent pilgrimage i think you should retire from these 'militantish' subjects. i'll be glad to help you refocus on a more balanced personal standing within the Islamic world
Re: Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?
Guys please come back on topic.
Re: Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?
well you guys were discussing the same topic (post 6 onwards) and i think, well atleast i can see it, that i have laid bare the nazriath of sectarianism on this second page.
so yeah we can blame america, they are always likely to have dirty hands in every conflict, but the sectarianism initself is Middle eastern. Persia wants its position back but this time theres a change due to significance of Arabia (the bestowment of a Messenger on its land). now Arabia and Persia are inextricably linked
as for the assad situation in isolation, i think the two most involved local countries are Turkey and Iran, and thats reflected with the involvement of their armed forces. i am not sure however on the geopolitical side of things what involvement and plans the US has for the region. obviously theyve shaped iraq how they wanted to and it looks like they want assad out, according to a bbc article in july assad only accused them of providing 'political support' and left for Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar the accusation of arming the uprising. Question is how involved is the US?
Re: Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?
Shardmanny, not to say it matters, but Sunni school is far more Persian in origin than the Shia school. From the founder of the biggest school within Sunnis Imam Abu Hanifa to the compilers of six Sunni sahi books of hadiths (Bukhari, Muslim, Nasai, Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi, Ibn Maja) are all Persians. Later on, Ghazali who codified the Sunni orthodoxy too was Persian.
On the other hand Shia school and its teachings took a formal shape under Imam al Baqir and As Sadiq (both obviously Hashmi). Shia compiler of hadiths such as Sheikh Mufid, Sheikh Saduq, Sheikh Yaqoob Kulayni, Syed Sharif Murtada, Syed Sharif al Radi (compiler of Nahjul Balagha) were all Arabs. In fact when Iran turned Shia under the safavids, they imported scholars from abroad since there wasn't much of a native Persian Shia tradition at that point in time. Shaykh Hurr al Amuli for example (compiler of Wasail as Shia) was from Jabal Amil (modern day Lebanon).
Re: Assad prepares to use chemical weapons?
Compared to all other Arab leaders what is so wrong with Assad? I know the West hate him because he and Iran are the only real threat in the Middle East to Israel but why are so many Muslims against him?
