Asking Allah!

Mods please dont move this to religion forum.

Its so tough to ask Allah whats best for you when your heart and mind knows what they want. How do you win between your heart, mind and doing the right thing.

It take guts to do istakhara and to accept it.

Sometimes these decisions could make a difference for your entire life..

How should one tell themselves to accept whats best for you and pray for that.

I know we don’t knwo whats best for us Allah is the only one who knows. But as being a human how do i stop myself from thinkign about all the negative things..

mein kia karon…???

Re: Asking Allah!

just marry the guy ur parents found for you..

Re: Asking Allah!

*smack kis ka demag kirab hoa hai jo mere sath shadi kare ga :p

Istakhara could be related to relocation.... schools... career paths...

Re: Asking Allah!

chal jhooti..istakhara is always for marriage..

Re: Asking Allah!

OMG Nia, Did you read my mind or what? I didn’t mention any of this in the PM, did I?

I am so much in the same situation :bummer: What I am doing is to pray to Allah that he makes me take the right decision. If I end up taking whatever decision due to my limited aqal, then may He :swt: gives me his blessings and rehmat in my actions. Sometimes you want smth so bad that you are so scared of doing Istakhara that if it turned out against, then wot? :teary1: So I say, Allah mian jee u know I want it so bad, so pls. help me. I desperately need your blessings, pls. bestow upon me your infinite rehmat, ameen, sum ameen.

Someone suggested me to recite the dua of Istakhara, har waqt, chaltay phirtay. I don’t do that. I wud say, say 2 nafal sometimes and ask for his blessings in whatever you want or whatever is best for you!

All the best! to Everyone

Re: Asking Allah!

hint dont think too much. Just go with ur guts. Put the two situations on the paper and which ever one has the least negative points choose it. There is nothing that can make us not think about the negative points. Its in ur nature to think about it. Anyway whts the delima????

Re: Asking Allah!

Nia, let me relate to you what i have recently experienced. Even when i thought things were ok, i still made dua that Allah whatever is best for me may happen. Like you say, it was hard doing so because in my heart i really really wanted one particular path. In the end, i was saved from what could have been really horrible. I never saw it coming and it hurt alot that what i wanted didnt end up happening. But in the long run i am sure i got saved from a bigger dukh in life.

Have faith in Allah. I know its hard making the dua but do ask Allah for His guidance because He indeed knows what is best for us.

Re: Asking Allah!

Just close your eyes, take a deep breath and ask Allah to guide you and then make the decision according to the first thought that comes to your mind.
Its just the shaitan trying to mis-guide you.

Re: Asking Allah!

Use ur mind..... thats always what i do looks like
i feel im wrong then i dont do it or if i feel i have to do
that i do it like God say to me or give me feelin if im right
or wrong.

Re: Asking Allah!

nia, dear.
ishtakhara needs a lot of spiritual abilities . even if u do it chances are rare that u will get to UNDERSTAND WHAT WERE THE SIGNS.

i have also heard that whatever rests in your heart may appear in your dreams .
i do not promote thhe ishtakhara thing . this is not bexcaz i'm far from religion.
it is only that i do not think any ordinary person is that capable.

moreover life makes its own way . even if we desire or not. |( that is what i have learned from my experiences )

yea. getting to a university or making a career also mostly depends on the life's circles + choices.

we may be puzzled at some moments . but there are things which make our paths clear . just hope for the best and prepare for the worst .

good luck to all what u do :)

Re: Asking Allah!

*sigh and scared....

Re: Asking Allah!

i was too thinking about that last week but then i thought about the power of dua, and i prayed to God and asked for that in dua but in my mind i kept getting thoughts about questioning my faith in Allah-why don't i trust his decision?it could be positive result lakin i was too chicken to do istikhara. But belive it or not i got my answer through many things (from my surrounding) that i usually do not think about or notice but i guess Allah has a way of showing u the light and so far im just following those signs and so far its been a success.

I think its depends on yr intentions, if u have a naiq neeyat Inshallah you will get good results.

I hope Allah make your decision easy for you.

Re: Asking Allah!

Prophet (P.B.U.H) has advised to make dua with confidence. Also make dua for every little thing, no matter what it is.

Re: Asking Allah!

this one is quite an answer . but some pious people through whom i have come to know believ that istakhara itself is a dua . you should do it for the purpose that god will make things better.

Re: Asking Allah!

larki baji what is the faith ??? believing on something. you r talking u want something bad thats why u r afraid to do ishtahkara coz it might come out against u ? baji but you don’t know that thing will be good for u or not , its looks good but ALLAH miyan knows only the best , so even it comes out against your wish, just simple as it is that it is not good for you , what so scary about ? is just not for u simple

Re: Asking Allah!

I just pray for things to work out for the best, and then accept the outcome.

Re: Asking Allah!

u r the best

Re: Asking Allah!

^ I wouldn’t say thaT!

Nia: whenever u think something like that just say Lahol. I admit its not easy to get over it easily but its worth giving a try. Feel better girl :hugz:

Re: Asking Allah!

One of the best sayings I ever heard....

"Pray NOT for an easy life. Pray to be a strong person."

Allah/God is not santa claus. You can pray for strength, guidance, wisdom, etc but to hope that Allah/God will make decisions for you or change things to your own liking is just wrong. Follow your beliefs, use your judgement, your minds and your hearts, and THEN accept the outcome. We were given the gift of "free will" for a reason.
