I’m not upset, I’m just confused as to what I’m supposed to do. Am I supposed to read into the situation and analyze it or just wear the colour and continue the facade? I sometimes wish there was no prentending and she would just say what’s on her mind instead of trying to be tactful.

There is nothing to be confused about. Sounds to me that you are making a mountain out of a molehill. Simply wear the colour and be done with it.

Why analyze anything?
