just creating a list of questions about what people are confused or otherwise curious about him and trying to get answers from his own poetry:)

It is a difference between a great poet and philosopher and a common man.
Your answers have no basis. You did not give any kind of daleel to prove your point.
The great Shair a Mashriq will give a mufassil and mudalil answer and will try to satisfy the curiosity of the questioner.

A question that I would ask: You believe that if Islamic law is understood and applied correctly, at least the right to subsistence will be secured to everybody. What would you do as a government of a muslim country to enforce Islamic laws yet allow the country to exist as a democratic state that is constantly evolving.

I have actually not only read them both but have uploaded shikwah and jawab-e-shikwah on GS few times...
posted the Faiz's poem in the forums in PA and Poetry forums couple of times as well..
never looked at both that way....

well both are really looking at the conditions of todays muslims, Iqbal's is broader in scope but thats just my opinion

In my opinion, Iqbal's jawaab-e-shikwah is actually focussing on MUSLIMS and reasons of their conditions/downfall whereas Faiz's poem is generally refelective of Politico-socio-economic collective life of a nation irrespective of the religion.
