Asim Kamal???

well guppies what do u think about this guy he was given a chance and was promoted to bat@#3 a guy who is well settled batsman at no6 and got out cheaply in first test and now no chance for him got kicked out very unfair decision

Think they're probably testing players?
Aus series is cumin
Who knows what the pcb upto

Asim Kamal has done well so far on his ODI & Test calls.
Lets look forward to him. He's young and very positive, I hope the
Selectors stay with him for the long. :D

ODI? when did that happen? :konfused:

Is he not playing this test?

Its amazing how Pakistan cricket works.
Isn’t Asim Kamal the same fellow who exactly 1 year ago won us the test against South Africa with his brilliant 99 on debut.
Isn’t this the same Asim Kamal who played like a true batsman while all others faltered in the Rawalpindi test against India while being handicapped.

I absolutely see no reason why Younis Khan has been brought into the side.

idiots @ PCB :smack:

True, we have to persist with Asim. One failure and he is out. It is not fair. The guy has got talent and will serve Pakistan well for years to come.

Sometimes I wonder if Bob has his head screwed on right. Either that or he has no say in selection. A moron like Farhat is being tried for the umpteenth time and Asim Kamal gets the boot after ONE chance? Mind boggling.

Time that by X 1000 ‘Chithar on the kuulas’ :smooth:

I liked this chappy from day 1, and struck me as very exuberant, talented and loud.

Tip : Watch him with his eyes on the ball all the way to his glove and the the body in anticipation. The only way for him is ^^ & ^^

He has not played any ODI.
He is 28 years old, good age for an experienced batsman, but not so young. He might have six years of cricket left in him depending on his fitness.

I want to see him more on Tests side, this is unfair to drop him on one failure.

pakistan hasn't played test cricket for months, they play for the 1st time after india happened and based on, one match's performance asim kamal is dropped that is pathetic.

—x------
I thought he did plau ODI :konfused:
Any how I would still stick to him, untill we get some one else for when asim retires. Like Tasleem Arif Wktkeepr-Openner (now retired).

i count understand this decision either.. its not fair to drop asim kamal with just 1 failure.. plus, the whole team failed in the 1st test.. He needs to be trusted and can become a lot better batsman than Younis Khan, although YK isnt that bad either but he isnt ur #3 batsman.. He is better suited for #6 whereas Asim is a genuin #3 batsman.

^nahi yaar asim is well suited at no6 all the scores that he made was batting at no6 u know batting atno3 is not ez asim is new fella and u r trying him to bat at3.i mean how in the world .y dun inzi r yoyo bat at 3.they both r scared of this position.even in ODI nor inzi r yoyo come at 3.unless pakistan is playing aginst zimbabwe r kenya then

Inzi and Youhana always look for a qurbani ka bakra for the no.3 position. In one days they found Shoaib Malik who was a middle order batsman. Now they are doing the same with Asim Kamal. There is no other team in the world that have their BEST batsmen come at numbers 4 and 5.

^^agreed yaar i dunno y they r doing this may they can't cope up with the pressure r may b bcz the balls seams away very much in15overs they can't play it but the interesting thing is that YOYO always comes at 3 when we r playing against minnows

anothe rblow to this kids confidence, i can not stand this, it pisses me off, sooner or later he will lose interest and say f' this they r treating me like ****, 1st he was only a test player now because 1 match he fails he isnt even considered!

and u know what that chaha bob said he is not consider to be ODI player bcz his fielding lacks the quality newayz PCB is crap now we have wasim bari who looks at player stats when he sletects them i bet if bradman was alive he would've slected him in the 11squad

Right now, Asim Kamal is not in the good book of Mr. Woolmer, that's why he is out. I think he is one of the best player we have.

i am just fed up of people saying he cant field or nething. inzamam, youhana, abdur razzaq are all not 2 much better then kamal. so all this talk abt kamal being a bad fielder is bullcrap. he mite not be the best but he is OK. that is just an excuse bob woolmer used because he had nothing 2 say for the non-inclusion of kamal in odi's.

woolmer is not all powerful as a coach. HE DOES NOT HAVE 2 MUCH SAY IN THE SELECTION. AFTER ALL THE WEIRD THINGS THAT WE'VE SEEN, I REALLY DO THINK THAT IF HE WAS THE FINAL AUTHORITY SOME OF THE PLACES IN THE SQUAD WOULD HAVE GONE TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE. i dont know whose decision it was to drop kamal. probably inzamam since he loves younis so much!
