Asians changing their real names

Re: Asians changing their real names

I caught a glimpse of my Dad's passport back in the early 2000s and noticed that he had dropped the Muhammad from his name and his middle name, which is his first name now, was missing a character(the last one). When I asked him about it, he made an excuse saying the guys at the naturalization office messed up the name on his application. That's a lame excuse. Never really asked him why he changed his name, it's his name anyway, what do I care. But it is kinda messed up, his name on my Birth Certificate and his name now aren't the same, feels weird.
