has anyone bought this book? or know anyone who has bought it? is it worth it/useful/helpful or not?

don't waste your money. it doesn't list all the products used and it all air brushed so the colours don't even look how they are supposed to. it's just like a magazine.

I have the book, and I agree with Lublyjubly it isn't really that good, its all air brushed and some of the make up its awful.

i know, they like put huge speckle glitter on the lids, it looks so bad, the hair styles are horrendous!! one of them looks like danish pastries on the side of the heads!

so the best ones are the ones already shown on the website? because i like the look on the front cover.
what magazine or a website would you recommend (that i can get in america) then that has a lot of bridal make-up pics that i could take to the make-up place to show them what i want. because the ppl here just don't understand what type of makeup indian/paki brides wear/want.

I bought this book a year ago and have to say it isnt ''all that', i agree with the above that most of the makeup is 'air brushed' and photographs are enhanced with special effects to make them look better, also they are models not real 'brides' so the look is totally different.
Best bet is to look on the net on various bridal/wedding sites and copy pictures into a word document - then email them or print them to show to your makeup artist.

if you know anyone in canada, you could try suhaag magazine- they're giving away a free beauty supplement this month, i believe, and it has a ton of makeup artist's ads in there.

if you get asiana wedding, that is by far the best, better than asian bride and viya magazine.
it has clear large full page photos. admittedly they are all air brushed but it give a good idea to the style. i know you can subscribe but it's quite expensive. try getting in in asian areas where you live....
the artist that have good techniques and styles are gini bhogal, naveeda and jawaad. The others are ok, but this trio apear frequently and are consistently good.
nina haider is good, but she rarely has stuff in the mags. rather than buying thr asian bridal book, get a few copies of the asiana wedding magazine.

the 'brides' are not brides but models and yeah the really pretty models in the book are used by lots of the makeup artists in the asiana wedding magazine but not in asian bride or viya magazine. the girls in the book that are not as obviously pretty, i have never seen before!
