Pakistan have dropped two batsmen, Shoaib Malik and Imran Farhat, and picked left-hand opener Nasir Jamshed and wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed in their squad for the Asia Cup in Bangladesh. Fast bowler Junaid Khan was not considered for selection because he was sidelined with a fracture in his knee.

Asad shafiq, Azhar ali and cheema still in the ODI team. WOW. another defensive aproach. when are we going to experiment. Where is razzaq? is he still injured.
Also with no junaid it would not be a bad idea to play shoail tanvir. I think match mixing is still very much alive in pakistan cricket they just dont want to win. Not a bad idea to bet $$$$ against pakistan in this series.
Sarfraz is even worse as a keeper compared to Adnan.

Be prepared for the injunction of shahzeb, Latif, khurram, Sami and Sohail Tanveer in future serieses.
And didn't sarfraz get a chance in Asia cup 2008 and failed miserably with bat on the best batting conditions against the mighty attacks like India/bd/SL and last we saw he highly impressed with his batting against BD just two months ago.
They (PCB) says Ahmed Shehzad has discipline issues. I'd love to see him in the team though. Some cool head should work with him. I am also disappointed on inclusion of Younus Khan
If thats the reason than how do you explain inclusion of sarfraz who didnt bat up to expectations in 08 asia cup?

and isn’t sarfraz the guy who told coach (Lawson) few years ago that he would be playing as he had some city’s local gang’s backing and coach had to involve Musharaf to get the local gang to NOT to take an action against the coach? There was a thread on KK on that incident…wasnt there?
