Re: Asia Cup Final: India vs Sri Lanka

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!

This is not the ICC Champions Trophy?

I was getting worried for nothing. What Asia Cup? What the hell is that?. When did they start playing that mohalla tournament?

Oh, ICC trophy is in September.

OK. See you all then.

^ LoL :hehe:

Waisay, after today's loss by SL, I think the problem is not with Pakistani cricket team but with the FANS. Whoever we support starts losing. :(

Did that happen in 1992 also.
Nope !!!
See chances of any team winning WC is 1/8 (Considering there are 8 real contenders) and only one can win. this doesnt mean other 7 would say that whoever they support loses.
:p

It'll be a tainted victory if India does win because of the bogus point rule. They really have no business being in the final. Nothing against India but the rules are simply flawed for this tournament. I've never in my life seen a team get routed (59 run victory is a blow out) and still get a point, simply POINTLESS.

As it is, I feel justice finds a way to get done and the Lankans will be riding away in glory.

but with that logic even if Pakistan made it to the final it would have been undeserving as they were bowled out for 122 and were beaten comprehensively...right?

Dont be crybaby !!!! It is not the that rule were changed after India vs Pak game. Rules were there form begining of tour. Sorry..it didnt work for you but many times in past it has worked for you too.
So it is part of gamr and it happens.

This was the most heart-felt response in this thread so far

Neither. Both can go and drown in poop for I care.

But seriously, even with no Vass and Murali, SL came within 4 runs. With those two in, India will really be struggling. Then again, each match stands on its own. India will have a hard time, thats for sure.

lol.... Samajh gaye na.. Editing it..

SL shd win on current form barring histronics from the indian batting lineup. i still cant believe the tournament rules which promoted defensive play. its not fair that the teams can pick n choose the games they wanna thoroughly compete in.

Funny thing is that India can potentially win the tournament after losing two crucial matches in the tournament (against SL and Pak), while Pak is out of the tournament while losing just one match. Not to mention that in just one tournament India plays Sri Lanka three times. Fun. Fun. Fun.

Sorry buddy, did not expect this flawed logic from you....

(1)India's first match against SL in the 1st phase was not crucial by any means...
(2)Did it occur to you that having to deal with only Hong Kong and BD in the 1st phase may have been a factor in PAK losing just one match in the tournament.

And what is funny about two teams playing each other multiple times in a tournament..happens all the time.

Bottom line... The margin of India's loss to Pak was less than that of Pak's loss to SL, relatively speaking....so India are in the finals....Pak is not. What happened in the 1st phase in inconsequential.

So stop cribbing.
