I know we all have superficial stance on blasphemy issue.
But along with our country men, we NEED to let some fresh air in.
Things people said on prophets face and about him, are recorded in quran. If blasphemy was the way, whole *makkah *would be dead.
Our nation is complete retard.. when rehman malik said he would kill any one himself if some one did blasphemy, This man could not read whole *surah ikhlas,(youtube it) *what made him so sure that he could make such decision ???
A country where 60-70% of population is completely jahil, and 90% of the so-called educated people are extremely intolerant of other religions, its no surprise. We need to completely abolish these inhumane Blasphemy Laws, no IFs or BUTs. These so called aashiqaan-e-rasool are the scum of society. Problem here is not Asia Bibi.
Problem here is people having very dangerous spot in their head.
Where they are familiar with lights going off in their heads when some speak about their mother or some thing.
Then they extend that blind-like feeling to person who is universal figure.
So now they can hurt some one when some one spoke ill about their mother.
They can also hurt some one if he/she spoke ill about the prophet.
Only few people know their mother, so small chance of trouble.
Every one know about the prophet, big chance of incidents.
Now by nature of this business, the prophet, brought teachings.
Did he ask them/any-one to hurt people in such situation ?? (for non muslims answer is no)
We all love him. Perhaps loving him and not going blind over such questions, is one thing which can make us raise above our little miserable existence.
Asia bibi is the victim of that mindset shoved into our public by mullahs over the last three decades in particular. It has to be changed to make any kinda progress. But thats the real uphill task cuz those mullahs are fetched and bred by other influential sources who are sucking up this bleeding country left n right.
Can this mindset be changed? Ofcourse yes and iA it'll one day. Just dont know when.
The idea that we can commit violence against people who have committed blasphemy or apostasy has been part of mainstream traditional Islam for a very, very long time. A lot of hard work is needed in expunging this idea from current mainstream Islamic practice.
