In every other event, Ive noticed that Ash wears an Anarkali dress. She looks so pretty in them and i just adore the look.

Appears to be malai jorjet or chiffon to me. Any idea how much fabric is used for such dresses??

If the length is like 50 inches, would a 6 gaz (yard) fabric be enough for such a ghera and look?

I found some of her pictures too of these events. I love all of them - uff! She is sooo pretty, Masha Allah

You can have such flairs in about 5 yards of material too.
It actually depends on the arz ( width) of the material you are getting
B/w what pretty anarkalis :) black one is probably a khaddi chiffon material.

If the width of the chiffon cloth is sawa gaz (1.25 yards). Would 5 yards total fabric for the shirt (without body cut included)be enough? and if shirt's body cut is included, would 6 yards be enough with full sleeves?

Yes i prepare anarkalis with 5 yards material it gives me a good enough flair.
Secondly, If you are having 6 yards, it will give you good churi sleeves and a bodice as well, Normally the top cut is 14-15inchs, and these days short bodice is inn, and you can get that conveniently.

desi women luks the best in traditional wear and here aishwarya is no different....she looks extremely pretty and elegant mashallah.

Aishwarya tends to really look tacky in western dresses (cannes film festival brings back bad fashion memories)

also she’s always been a thin girl with a little pouch in her stomach so I think this cut of dress just really compliments her height, elegance, classic beauty thing she has going for her. But also shows off her thinner frame and arms.






also umrao jaan she wore beautiful pishwaaz/anarkalis and she did an umaro jaan song years before for some awards show and wore a lovely red and gold one i think…

I find each of her dress beautiful and i think it makes her look even more elegant. I too agree that anarkalis sometimes suit her more than the evening gowns... and even she herself seems more comfortable and at-home with anarkalis.
