My daughter had childhood asthma. They give er inhaler and prednisolone when she has a wheezing episode.however its very.often now.whenever she gets a cold it quickly accelerates. And prednisolone isn’t good.more.than twice a year it can stunt growth.etc. she’s already had it twice since February and i debt want to give it again.
She’s.okay now but her cold has started and is worrying me what can i do? She has a cough too what csn i give for her .

for cough best is to give honey , it really works. my daughter had cough till last week gave her 1/2 tsp two times a day and it helped.

also ask your dr if she can be given any allergy medicine. my daughter gets skin allergy when its rainy season and her ped gave her zynlan and told us that it can be given as long as a month give 1 week break then u can start again. many dr give this medicine for cold n flu also and I also have given her for flu and it helped.
but plz plz first discus with her dr then give it

When my daughter was little her pediatrician said she has asthma, she prescribed her prednisolone and inhalers etc, but my hubby said u have to give her steam inhaler when their is pollen, fall or early spring season becoz these are allergy seasons, so I did the same, as these season starts I give her steam inhaler and Claritin for allergy, now Alhamd o Lillah no asthma signs, she is fine.
And also do some oil massage on ribs, rub the Vicks near the neck it works like a charm when there is difficulty in breathing.

Keep the air really nice and moist. Humidifiers are great.
My nephew has asthma and he’s only 3. My sister steers clear of the steroids and always uses home remedies like steam, vicks and a humidifier in his room all the time.
I have also had asthma but mine cleared away…I used to do haldi ki bhaanp and that helped a lot. I was sick constantly and then got tired of the breathing issues…finally gave in to my mom’s idea of this haldi ki bhaanp. It worked…I did it twice a day and for six months everyday. Asthma has been largely gone. I only get slightly wheezy during allergy season but I never even need my inhaler.

I have desalt a lot with episodes of chronic allergic bronchitis mostly bought on by environmental allergens and infections picked from school. yes humidifiers are available in Pakistan. I got one from,here. Docs give control meds like singular and anti allergy too and of course steroids and antibiotics when things get worse. I used a nebuliser a lot.
Someone told me desi totka for asthma, honey with half tsp crushed onion, surprisingly it’s on the net too.

Nadz, do you administer inhalers directly from the canisters? if you, that’s one of the reason because your child is NOT getting the amount of medication her doctor has prescribed. you should by the ‘chamber’ through which she should inhale the medication. this way she will receive 100% of the vaporized medicine. inhaling directly from the canisters isn’t effective because 50% of the vaporized medicine is lost in the mouth cavity and some escapes in the air…50% doesn’t reach the lungs.
is she using the orange medication called Flovent? if not then ask your doctor to prescribe that fr her. that takes care of the asthma/wheezing in the long run while the blue inhaler is for emergency use.

Sorry yes I have seen a humidifiers here but will.it work? The rooms here are bigger and have higher ceilings. What exactly does it do?
The doc prescribed her a prophylaxis and a different inhaler.

Seriously don’t take an anti allergy prescription from people on the internet, stay in touch with a good pediatrician and he/she will guide you. The last thing you want is the best anti allergy to work for someone else’s kid become the worst one for your kid! It’s your kids health and life please don’t take it lightly.
