Re: Ashes 5th Test- Oval
I'm already starting to get the jitters.
I mean, if there's anything that could compare with the England yearning to win the Ashes after all this time - it's this Australian side not wanting to return home as the first Aussie side to lose the Ashes in over a decade and a half.
The Australian press over there is still a bit shell-shocked by the fact that they're looking likely to lose the Ashes and have been casting about desperately for some kind of explanation. The most oft-repeated refrain is that all of the team (with the exception of Fatso) are 'out of form'. It's almost as if they are reluctant to admit that they are simply a clear second-best to this England side.
On the other hand, they have been very complimentary about some England players, namely Flintoff and S.Jones.
Jones is going to be missed badly. He has the best bowling average on the England at about 21 runs per wicket and next best is Harmisson at about 28 runs per wicket.
The next five day forecast looks to be good but there will be showers. It's been a good summer of Cricket.
