Ashes 2nd Test

Re: Ashes 2nd Test

Saby, whoever predicted 5-0 did not know that the little girl McGrath would get injured playing rugby or whatever (I was not one of those people, just for the record)! 5-0 would have **strictly* depended on McGrath and Warne being available for Australia (Without them, even India won a test match against Australia in their home series!). The more I see England progressing, the more I get scared of the potential phainti we can get later this year.*

Re: Ashes 2nd Test

Eff you Ponting :bash: you were supposed to score 2 200s and 1 100 :bailan:
My phantasy team is going down :crying:

otherwise whata game :k:

Re: Ashes 2nd Test

I agree with that McGrath thing. Aussies are feeling his abssence (and any team in the world would) but Gillespie (an impression of his old self)/Kaspro are good support bowlers only.

If one looks at the scorecard, it is be evident that English bowlers worked well as a unit while aussies didnt. Every English bowler struck when needed.

Re: Ashes 2nd Test

Remember…I am playing with 9 players for the 2nd time…

Re: Ashes 2nd Test

Don’t remind me of the potential phainti awaiting us this winter  ! Four genuine wicket taking bowlers in Jones, Hoggard, Harmison and Flintoff. Adding to that the fact that all of them can play in the team at the same time (Due to Flintoff’s great all round ability). Unlike us, who have pie throwers like Razzaq in the name of all rounders. I’m scared.

Re: Ashes 2nd Test

With Mcgrath doubtful for 3rd test, England have a chance to take a lead in the series. Aussie on the other hand will try to come back strongly but as we all have noticed that there is something missing in this team now which was something that earned them the top spot in the world cricket.

Anyways first of all we have to see English bowlers finishing the incomplete job tomorrow morning smoothly. Harmisson did a great job by getting rid of clarke otherwise clarke and warne were playing with a very positive frame of mind and with a little more than 100 runs anything was possible. But now with warne left with the tail, defeat is almost certain.

Game bro, regarding our phainte for the Novmber tour, it is very much possible. With Shabbir almost out from the bowling department it would be even more tough for Pakistan to beat the english specially if they manages to win Ashes or lose it with a close margin. A drawn Ashes will also do wonders for them. Therefore we need to have fully fit shoaib, sami and gul.
Anyways this is ashes thread, so we should stick to it. Lets see what will be the margin of aussie defeat tomorrow.

Re: Ashes 2nd Test

The future is not looking bright for the Aussies...once Mcgrath and Warne are gone then so will the Aussies...
