OMg im so sad…i absolutely adored this singer! Can’t believe he is no more…he died in london/america where he had gone for a concert…he had an heart attack…this is so terribly sad. Gawd…he was young…i cant believe it…what a loss 2 our country…

Very sad indeed, just heard on GEO that he passed away in london due to a heart attack. I think he was the uncle (chacha) of shafqat of fuzon.

**Thats a big loss for Pakistani music industry, I always liked his way of singing and one of his ghazals “ghar wapis jab aao gay” is one of my favorite ghazals of all time. Its really saddening that he died at an age where he could still perform so good. May Allah Almighty rest his soul in peace. Ameen.

God this was such a huge shock last night. Suddenly there was breaking news on TV that he passsed away in London due to a heart attack...couldnt believe it at first! On 23 March he recvd a Pride of Performance award from the president. He was a bright musician and artist. Too young to go like this...only few weeks ago he was live on some channel singing away his famous songs mesmerizing everyone.
He had a cool style among classical singers.
some of his songs have been amazing classics and shall remain such...
May Allah grant him high status in heaven.
His "Phullan de rang kaaley..." always sung so passionately by him keeps echoing in my ears. I had always hoped to listen to him live some day...
God bless his soul and his family.

this is a sad news indeed. Shafqat Amanat said that his brother looked after them after their father's death. May Allah bless his soul and give strength to the family to deal with this loss. ameen.

it is such a pity that our people have no respect for our own singers...many of them didnt even know who asad amanat ali was....arghhhh ic ant believe it...i hate our country for this attitude...they wl know even the side cast actors of bollywood/hollywood but have no clue abt the gems of our own entertainment industry......this is pathetic!!!
