How do I re-use the image(s) after they have been posted in another thread?
For example, if I have posted an image in Thread [1] and want to use the exact same image in Thread [2], how would I go about doing it? I have tried uploading the image onto the server (via both methods - by uploading it through a URL and by uploading it through saving an image onto my desktop) and it refuses to do so, indicating that the image already exists in another thread, and it provides me with the thread name and my post. All I am able to do is click on the post and view the attached image, but how do I actually attach the same image in another post?
Is there a way to “delete” the attachments that are stored in your User Profile (User Control Panel > Attachments)? Once again, how would I “re-use” these images in different threads, if need arise?
This one is my major concern. I am having difficulties viewing images in my computer at home. I am unable to view the images, literally. All I see is simply ‘white space’ and not the actual picture that is attached in the post. I have re-checked my Firewall settings, and they seem to be in good shape. The same browser is being used in both places (work and home), and only the latter is catching problems, for one reason or another. I suppose there is a quick and easy solution to this, yes?
Re: As they say in Pakistan, I have a "cushion" (Questions regarding images)
After you upload an image, then you can post the same [tag] in many threads.
Thank you Gizzy Bhai.
Now that I closely look inside the contents of the quickie bar, I see this Upload tool. Is it also possible to delete an image after it is uploaded (via this method)?
So there is no way to actually post the same image multiple times when it is uploaded through the "Manage Attachments" option? Is this tool designed to specifically target just a one-time image attachment, in a single thread, in one post?
Re: As they say in Pakistan, I have a “cushion” (Questions regarding images)
After I upload the picture via the Upload Tool, do I simply copy and paste the entire code inside my post, starting from (gsmedia=dhobi_bhai) to (/gsmedia)? Or do I have to paste the code inside any tags?
Also, seeking (divine) help on my teen numbar wala cushion (Question #3) up above.
Re: As they say in Pakistan, I have a "cushion" (Questions regarding images)
The problem is still pending on my end. I have rechecked the 'white spaces', which is still showing as it is, instead of regular images. I have now tried both brand browsers, and it further complicate things by reciprocating the problem.
Re: As they say in Pakistan, I have a "cushion" (Questions regarding images)
Please let me know if there is a solution to this problem of mine.
I am still experiencing white spaces instead of images (in the posts), and I am not even able to upload images via the "Upload" tool. All it shows is the black square box, instead of the actual image itself.
Re: As they say in Pakistan, I have a "cushion" (Questions regarding images)
I would at least appreciate a positive or a negative response. This has been hanging around for days, yet no offer for suggestions and recommendations have been put forward.
Re: As they say in Pakistan, I have a “cushion” (Questions regarding images)
so many cushions here, so comfy :halo:
ermm, well I am not sure what that is and what is causing that issue. You need to check the browser settings. Or try firefox, if that works fine, then surely some setting(s) need to to be changed .
All images, also the ones posted using this upload tool can be deleted. But as usual, after a period of 24 hours, a mod or admin will need to edit the post, in case something needs editing/deleting.
You can also post images uploaded using the above mentioned tool. You just need to post the image ID which you find inside the code you get when you open any such image.
That can be done using the tag.
Re: As they say in Pakistan, I have a "cushion" (Questions regarding images)
Thank you for your reply.
Please confirm the following, once again, for me:
1) All images uploaded via the Manage Attachment option and the Upload tool can be deleted within 24 hours of it's posting. After that, a mod/admin needs to be contacted. Is this correct?
I am using Firefox both at home and at work. The latter seems to have no problem displaying the images in a proper manner, but the computer at home (with Firefox set as the default web browser) is having problems presenting any and all images whatsoever. For weeks pending, all I see is 'white space' instead of the actual image itself. I have checked and re-checked the default browser settings (Firefox), IE settings and have no clue what needs to be done in order (to force for) the images to appear.
On another wild guess, is this because of that monkey add-in plugin thingie (which was designed for the Quickie bar to appear at the top) that is causing this issue? I did disable it to see whether or not it corrects the problem, but to no avail.
That can be done using the tag.
So I can post any image multiple times in different threads using the Manage Attachment option? I would just need the image ID to post it in more than two (2) threads?
