As seen on tv

which is your favorite ‘as seen on tv’ product? Do you actually buy off those infomercials and did the product work as promised?

We bought space saver bags. first time they did not work as the air seeped in because of bad seal. Second time around they worked (are working) just great.

We also bought the slap chop chopper. It did not work as the blades were too dull and they were mushing the vegetables instead of cutting them.

Re: As seen on tv

I used to spend HOURS watching those informercials and just lusting after whatever they were hawking. I wanted the Ginsu knives, the dehydator (who doesn't love beef jerky and dried apricots), the sandwich maker, the vacuum sealer (cuz we all need to keep out food fresh, you know). Eventually I realized most of the items were connected to the kitchen, a room in the house that I do not spend a lot of time in, so I got over it :p

Re: As seen on tv

I think one peroduct that I think is really good (if it would work as promised) is Hercules Hooks. That inventor is a genius I am telling you.

Talking about As Seen On TV, I really miss Billy Mays, the Oxy Clean guy :(

Re: As seen on tv

lol...i love watching and wasting hours on tellyshopping....we have bought numerous things./...and they are pretty good too....nicer dicer, v slicer, magic bullet, lateral thigh trainer...griller....and much more...! :D

Re: As seen on tv

I miss Billy Mays too!

I, also like Sherysh, used to spend (sometimes times still do) soo much of my time watching those infomercials and wishing I could buy them

The only one I have bought is the magic bullet but I haven't used it

The one I really remember is some kitchen appliance that had the catch line "SET IT & FORGET IT"............I wasted hours of my life trying to convince my dad how cool it was

Re: As seen on tv

air beds...the way the inflate is cool. :)

Re: As seen on tv

Guac, that 'set it and forget it' was showtime rotisserie by that Ron Popeil guy. I used to love that infomercial. I probably must have seen it 100 times or so
