Re: As I said earlier... get ready for Sachin as Captain

It's time like these when I realize how much better off we are/were with our so called "autocratic", "mullah", "unthinking", "inflexible" captain and our unlected board chief.

good to see the soap opera.

Re: As I said earlier... get ready for Sachin as Captain

Ours is worse than Indian. We were always saved and looked good because of immense talent we are blessed with. Otherwise we would have been minnows for a long time. If it was not for Imrans, Miandads, Wasims and Waqars, we would have been Zimbabwae at the best.

We don't only lack professionalism, but we also suck at forward thinking.

This thread has served as a good reading material!

This sometimes gets too much of a bother. Compare the following quote below, by an ‘unnamed spokesperson’:

to the time, not long ago, when Shane Warne had spoken out against John Buchanan in a highly disdain manner. Remarks were printed, major one being the following:

→ “The coach is something you travel in to get to the game.”

Shortly after, two stern phone conversations from Ponting and Buchanan, forced Warne to backtrack his own words. Although the event did not unfold in a manner one would have liked, but it left an impression in the overall scheme of things; and that was, one thing the Australians had (and still have) going in their favor is the accountability factor. If a specific individual was found responsible for the negative image associated with either him or the team, action would take place regardless of how big of a star-studded personality that person had.

And here we are. The character of a coach is being rubbed in the dirt, left and right, and absolutely no one is found accountable for their actions.

At a time when Tendu should be considering retirement, he has aspirations for captaincy. Cricket has given him lot of fame and money, but looks like he wants to go in disgrace as many sportsmen do.
