I hear if you stand outside Sallu’s house for long enough, he makes an appearance in his balcony, takes off his shirt and throws it at you. ![]()

add Shimla [the toy train ride is awesome…96 tunnels…one of the is called ‘ONE-KISS tunnel’ ;)] hehe…Darjeeling Himalayan Train [DHT] is a world heritage toy train which runs on 150 year old steam locomotive…the world’s only locomotive that’s still in use]…the joy ride is quite a show.

Re: As a Pakistani would you like to come to India or vice versa
I think I would .. Infact I would like to visit my great grand father's land and property in Jalender .. i have heard some immensely sad stories that family went through at the time of migration and I cant help but wonder how their homes and land would have been at that time ...
Those are my roots as well, my grandparents were young but they always remember jalandhar as a wonderland

Yes, I have heard about it. I have friends from both north and south and I can see clear difference in lifestyles already. Most of the people from outside subcontinent I have met who have been to both north and south are usually full of admiration for the south and not very excited about north.
I actually violated my visa restrictions even within North India, visiting places I should not be ;) South is definitely on the agenda.
Re: As a Pakistani would you like to come to India or vice versa
I'd lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvve to go to India! I want to see Lucknow and find the home there. I think its still in the family actually.
Of course Taj Mahal is a must.
Re: As a Pakistani would you like to come to India or vice versa

Re: As a Pakistani would you like to come to India or vice versa
I wanna go to Pak for shopping
Actually, my in-laws village is in Indian Punjab is right on the border. I go to see the flag-down ceremony at Husseniwala every time I go visiting my in-laws. And I have the urge to jump into Pak that very moment ![]()
And this pic is from our village ka railway station :). You can still see some old unused railway tracks that go into Pak…the memory of the two countries joined together. The local people are not interested to apparently remove those railway tracks…

Re: As a Pakistani would you like to come to India or vice versa
Often I think about Pakistan and the one place that comes to my mind is NWFP. Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan or the frontier Gandhi was from that place I suppose. Anybody from that area. Is it called the same today.
I would love to visit Pakistan for the following
1) Meet the people...
2) Understand how people who were together for so long would become such sworn enemies in a short time.
Now please start the usual rhetoric of religion and all that. I have Muslim friends here and us we always talk about this.
Re: As a Pakistani would you like to come to India or vice versa
Also what are the major Historical places in Pakistan. I know about Harappa and Mohenjadaro but apart from that...

Kerala --- God's Own Country Inhabited by the Devil's Own children... :)
Now dont start accusing me of generalizing. I myself am from Kerala.
