Hi, Can anyone who has viewed ARY One World or has it in their households. Post information and reviews as to how good of a channel it is. Is it comparable to GEO, better or worse. I want to get some info on the channel besides that its a news channel as the North American viewers require a 121 Satellite dish to acquire Ary One. Any input would be appreciated.

aight here's the info ive been able to gather on the 121 bird.
first of all its not a DBS satellite, its an FSS. so u cant use a dishnetwork or even a directv LNB to get the signal. there is a difference in the frequencies these operate at. DBS is 12.2-12.7 and FSS is 11.7-12.2 GHz.
plus in order to couple signals, depending on how many birds u want to point at, you would need either a DP adapter, or a the FSS stacked dsihnetwork lnb.
if u want u can use a regular FSS ku band lnb and an 80 cm dish and go directly to the receiver, ie no switches in between.
another option is to use the old star choice elliptical dishes if u can get ur hands on one.

Apparently both ARY Digital and ARY ONE are on Dish network 121. Kman, or anyone else for that matter, are u gonna try and catch the 121 bird ?

Saw the channel while in Pak. Pretty good presentation :k:, DOES come close to GEO there, but u gotta keep in mind that unlike GEO, its 100% News based.
can someone put it in layman's terms why I'm not getting ary on the same dishnetwork that i see geo and ptv prime on? And please don't talk about disnetwork 121 or whatever, unless if you can explain what all that means.

You are not getting it because Dish Network is not offering it.... yet! Its probably in testing, and super-techies like the above, are "stealing" the signals using advanced knowledge of pata nahi kiya kiya. You stay focussed on your parhai. When Ary will become available for normal people, we will let you know.

The ARY you are referring to is ARY digital, which will be available (as soon as they phase out of testing mode), but the ARY being discussed in the topic of this thread is a different one, its a news channel like GEO, and will only be offerred on the 121 bird (superdish), not the existing 61.5s! Yes, there are two ARY's being offerred by Dishnetwork (charlie) right now!
