Just turned on my tv & after switching to the Pakistani channels realized that ARY News license has been canceled for the next 15 days.

ARY claims they haven’t been given any reason for this cancelation. It turns out Shareef Brotheraans couldn’t handle the Lahore incident’s actual footages being broadcast.

I am still able to watch ARY news sitting in the US, just like I am still able to watch GEO.

But hey “Jiye Jamhooriyat”

Can you please give an example of how ARY acted like mou zor bhens? Maybe I am missing something here.

I think it was the Khara Sach expose of Qaatil-e-aa'laa from yesterday that did it.

This government needs to be sacked.

They have also been fined Rs 10 million.

Seems to me that PMLN is turning out to be worse than PPP. As they say an injured "sher" is more dangerous than an otherwise normal "sher"

Now only if the sher here can realize that he is bringing himself bigger harm by doing such ridiculous things.

PMLN or sher is nt doing this. PEMRA is Responsible for all that. PEMRA controls pakistani media. PEMRA is an independent Authourity. Government has no control over PeMRA.

This is getting all so ridiculous and dangerous.The government is in deep trouble. Sleepless nights are sure making them lose their minds. I hope the other Sharif is closely observing the situation.

The two penny crooked Government trying to reach every low in its book to create civil unrest at such crucial time. Then that loon will issue another statement about calm and national unity.

Just today PM Nawaz Sharif while addressing the Laptop Scheme launch in ISB, said that "some channels are showing things that are different than what reality is". He was referring to ARY considering they are now banned. Makes one wonder about the impartiality of PEMRA.

ARY brought it to itself, Javed Ch said this in April that we are asking ban on geo and it wont stop till Geo... And that is what exactly happened, Ary and geo rivalry is another aspect of this...

Banning channel is not a solution unless pemra layout some guidelines for news and entertainment channels..
